We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced carpenter to join our busy aftercare maintenance team. You will be responsible for carrying out general planned and reactive maintenance on new homes in Sutton and Ealing which have been built by Rydon Construction. Rydon is a successful construction, development, maintenance, investment and management group operating throughout England, predominantly in London and the southern counties. We are a dynamic, multi talented organisation, working across a wide range of sectors within the built environment.
Some of our development work in Sutton and Ealing shown here. These schemes are a mix of traditional build homes and RC framework apartments.

Whilst your primary skill will be carpentry, it would also be helpful for the successful candidate to have the ability to work within other trades such as basic plumbing, plastering and/or electrical. Our goal is to ensure that we undertake repairs to a very high standard, and as such, the role requires a candidate with great attention to detail and a passion for completing high quality work.
This is a full time position offered on an initial 12 month contract and the working hours are 40 per week 8am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
What we can offer you
A competitive salary
Company van and fuel card
Annual bonus (subject to individual and business performance)
Pension
Life Assurance
Employee Assistance Programme
Flexible benefits for you to choose from including the ability to increase your annual leave.
Previous relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of buildings is essential. This experience would have been gained within a residential maintenance setting. The successful candidate will also ideally hold a carpentry qualification (at level 2 or level 3). As the role interfaces with residents, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with people confidently. The role is subject to a DBS check as well as needing the preferred candidate to hold a full and valid driving license.
If you have a passion for providing high quality repairs and the above experience, we would strongly encourage you to apply.
