CCTV Engineers (Service or installation)

North West, Lancashire & Yorkshire Regions

£25,000 - £30,000 Depending on Experience + Vehicle + Benefits

Managed by experienced security industry professionals, the company has been providing CCTV, Access Control, Public Address and Support Services for over 25 years. 

They are currently recruiting specialist CCTV & Security Installation Engineers & Service Engineers that can work out of our Rossendale or Sheffield Offices, covering the North West, Lancashire, or Yorkshire regions.

The normal working hours are Monday to Friday and within a 50–60-mile radius of the office. However, you may also be required to provide an `out of hours cover / on call` facility for some of their clients.

About you

You will need to be hardworking, proactive, use your own initiative along with: 

• Experience of working with CCTV / Security / Access Control / Gate & Barrier maintenance, with essential knowledge of IP equipment / Networks.
• Experience in installation, servicing and maintenance, including fault diagnosis of all systems. 
• A clean driving licence 
• Excellent customer facing skills & a team player
• Have a good understanding of health and safety procedures and policies.
• Ideally you will have a current CSCS card (or similar) 
• You must also pass the relevant security and vetting checks.

• Handling telephone and email enquiries
• Scheduling engineer appointments for service calls and installations, monitoring and following through to completion of jobs

R&R Electrical are looking for a Fire & Security Engineer to join their team.

Location: Midlands - Birmingham (working Nationwide)

Hours: 48 Hours a Week

Salary: Days - £15.00 per hour

Night - base rate x 1.3

Saturday - base rate x 1.5

Sunday - base rate x 2.0

Working for a Fire and Security Company. We are both NSI and FIA approved. We operate within the Industrial and Commercial sectors in and throughout the United Kingdom. Role will involve travel and working away from home. You may also be placed on the On-Call rota.

Fire & Security Engineer - Key Responsibilities:

- Work is Nationwide so you will be expected to travel. Some work may be based in Europe

- You are required to adopt a flexible approach to hours as work can be days, nights or weekends. You may also be required to stay way form home overnight

- Install and Commissioning of Fire and Security Systems - Predominately working in the commercial/retail sector

- Attending Reactive Callouts for System Faults and Planned Maintenance on Fire/Security systems

- Installation of cat 5e, cat 6 and cat 6e cabling, containment, patching and termination of cables

- Installing both Analogue and IP Security Systems

- Cabling enabling and containment system install i.e. trunkings and trays etc.

- Carrying out site surveys, job reports and health & safety risk assessments

- Completing timesheets and expenses in line with work deadlines

Fire & Security Engineer - Essential Skills:

- Extensive experience in both Fire and Security Install & Commissioning

- Ability to engage professionally & confidently with clients on both a technical and operational level

- Excellent planning and organisation skills/Ability to multi-task

- Ability to work within a close small team and communicate effectively with colleagues and the office

- Ability to problem solve and provide proactive solutions to our clients

- Knowledge of the BS5839 Fire Alarm Regulations

Fire and Security Engineer

Qualifications and Education Requirements
