There are many reasons why people become care assistants, but the main motivation of this role is the chance to make a difference, helping to motivate and lead the current care staff.  As well as previous experience of working in a healthcare setting, you must also hold a relevant healthcare qualification, minimum level 2.

In return, we’ll support you every step of the way, providing the training necessary to continue your progression within the company. Bear in mind that you’ll be working on a rota basis, which may include early starts, late finishes and some weekend working, picking up care work when required.

Our Social Workers are called Family Court Advisers, although you may have also heard them referred to as Children’s Guardians, and we are recruiting for our teams based from Sheffield covering theSouth Yorkshire area,althoughwe trust you to work flexibly whether this is in court, at home, in the office or of course, with children and families and provide the technology to enable this.

If you join us you will be working in a team that covers Public and Private law matters. You will be given the training to transfer your existing experience, skills and knowledge and develop new ones to understand the child’s needs, wants and feels and effectively communicate this to the court, either in writing and/or in person.

As you would expect there are a few key things we need you to be:

• Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years’ experience (or will have by time join us).
• Social Work England registered.
• Experienced at working with highly vulnerable children and families.
• Expert in safeguarding, child engagement, inter-agency working, case analysis, planning and recording.

Our work is demanding so for you to succeed and truly make a difference you should be someone who;

• Is resilient and organised
• Can work proportionately
• Has strong, intuitive IT skills
• Is an effective verbal and written communicator

We would also like to draw your attention that this role has been identified as suiting someone who has a full driving licence. This is because of the nature of the work undertaken, the geographical area involved, and that public transport is not considered a viable alternative.
