FULL TIME Care Assitants – Enright, Newark

Heathcotes Group are currently seeking Care Workers for our neighbouring 6 & 7 bed Residential services in Newark. Heathcotes Enright is a specialist residential service for adults with Asperges Syndrome, dual diagnoses and associated complex needs. This service has been designed exclusively for individuals who form part of the Transforming Care cohort and can be utilised as an intermediary between hospital and supported living.

We support individuals with a diagnosis of Learning disability, Autism, Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bi Polar affective disorder and Paranoid Schizophrenia.

We support alongside the individual to complete daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting and encourage service users to participate in activities they enjoy. 

The Role of a Support Worker:

  • Encourage individuals to live a life that makes sense to them.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement where and when it is needed.
  • Always using a person-centred approach.
  • Monitoring & reporting changes in health, behaviour and needs to relevant professionals.
  • Ensuring the home is organised according to the needs of the service users and that safety measures are in place, you may also be expected to assist with housework, shopping, laundry.
  • Transporting individuals or escorting to medical or other appointments and social activities.
  • Supporting those who need it with budgeting and money management.


Requirements:

  • A compassionate and friendly can-do attitude.
  • A willingness to work some evenings, weekends & bank holidays.
  • Drivers preferred but not essential.

Shift Pattern:  As a Care Worker you will be contracted to 32.67 hours per week and will work 2 shifts from 8:15am – 10:30pm followed by 4 days off

We provide support to this lady 24 hours per day, which is broken down into 12 hour day and night shifts. There is also an experienced nurse who works as part of her care team.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced, dynamic individual who is able to adapt to this young lady’s needs and requirements.

Please note, applicants must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends.

You must also be comfortable around pets as there is a dog and cat within the property.

Brant ward is an 18 bedded acute assessment and treatment ward for older adults experiencing functional mental health problems. It has been newly refurbished to a very high standard with single bedrooms & ensuite bathrooms.

The ward is challenging, fast paced and offers excellent opportunities for professional development. Whilst the ward was being refurbished the core team have been working as part of an OA Home Treatment team which has resulted in enhancing their skills, and the excitement of looking at working in a more dynamic way with patients to ensure their hospital stay promotes, and maintains a level of independence whilst supporting with their recovery.

The HCSW would be expected to work closely as part of MDT in the delivery, evaluation of care and be forward thinking and innovative in the on-going development of service provision. The candidate must be genuinely patient and carer focussed in their approach to all they do.

The successful candidate will ideally possess excellent communication skills, determination, drive and an ability to manage their workloads in a challenging ever changing environment. This will work towards providing a quality of mental health care that achieves confidence and effective outcomes to all those who come into contact with the ward.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly across a variety of shifts in order to meet the needs of the 24 hour service.

A full induction package will be offered, access to training, regular supervision, annual appraisal and a commitment to developing staff to their full potential.

The salary for this post, depending upon relevant experience, is A4C band 2-£17,652 - £19,020. The hours are 37.5 per week worked on a shift basis to cover 24 hour period to include nights and weekends

FULL TIME Care Assitants – Enright, Newark

Heathcotes Group are currently seeking Care Workers for our neighbouring 6 & 7 bed Residential services in Newark. Heathcotes Enright is a specialist residential service for adults with Asperges Syndrome, dual diagnoses and associated complex needs. This service has been designed exclusively for individuals who form part of the Transforming Care cohort and can be utilised as an intermediary between hospital and supported living.

We support individuals with a diagnosis of Learning disability, Autism, Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bi Polar affective disorder and Paranoid Schizophrenia.

We support alongside the individual to complete daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting and encourage service users to participate in activities they enjoy. 

The Role of a Support Worker:

  • Encourage individuals to live a life that makes sense to them.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement where and when it is needed.
  • Always using a person-centred approach.
  • Monitoring & reporting changes in health, behaviour and needs to relevant professionals.
  • Ensuring the home is organised according to the needs of the service users and that safety measures are in place, you may also be expected to assist with housework, shopping, laundry.
  • Transporting individuals or escorting to medical or other appointments and social activities.
  • Supporting those who need it with budgeting and money management.


Requirements:

  • A compassionate and friendly can-do attitude.
  • A willingness to work some evenings, weekends & bank holidays.
  • Drivers preferred but not essential.

Shift Pattern:  As a Care Worker you will be contracted to 32.67 hours per week and will work 2 shifts from 8:15am – 10:30pm followed by 4 days off
