We are looking for Care Assistants to join the Excelcare team at Longfield Care Home in Maldon, Essex.

Excelcare is a family owned care home group established for over 30 years. Offering great care every day is central to everything we do.

What you can expect:

Salary: £9.39 - £9.68 per hour, depending on experience.

Full time. Day and night shifts available from 8am- 8pm/8pm - 8am.  Monday - Sunday.

Must be able to work alternate weekends.

About the role:

As a Care Assistant you will work as part of a team providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social support. You will continually promote independence, choice, dignity and respect to the people living our homes by delivering the very best standards of care.

Supporting people with personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals. Completing current and appropriate documentation which includes daily record keeping, charts and care plans.

What we require from you:

Ideally you will have some experience in a care environment either in a care home, as a home care worker or caring for a loved one.  

As a Care Assistant you’ll have a desire to work in elderly and dementia care. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be kind, reliable, empathic and recognise that the needs of each person we care for is individual.

As a Community Care Assistant, you will be supporting our customers in their own homes with all aspects of their day-to-day living, including physical and social activities such as eating, bathing and shopping. We are looking for people who are caring, supportive and passionate about providing a high level of care and support to vulnerable people, maintaining dignity and respect at all times. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and an empathetic approach are essential.

Previous experience in the Care Industry is not essential, as a full induction course and shadow training will be provided to successful candidates.

        RESPONSIBLE TO THE HOME MANAGER:
        • Maintaining professional standards of care within the home at all times.

          As a Community Care Assistant, you will be supporting our customers in their own homes with all aspects of their day-to-day living, including physical and social activities such as eating, bathing and shopping. We are looking for people who are caring, supportive and passionate about providing a high level of care and support to vulnerable people, maintaining dignity and respect at all times. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and an empathetic approach are essential.

          Previous experience in the Care Industry is not essential, as a full induction course and shadow training will be provided to successful candidates.

          • To show commitment to the mental and physical wellbeing of our customers by supporting them within a variety of settings,
          • To meet outcome-based performance targets to support our customers independence and self-sufficiency skills throughout their short-term care plan
          • Use of ECLs staff and customer information system (CACI), ensuring attention to detail in the reporting and recording of care plans
          • Develop and maintain strong relationships and communication links with our customers, colleagues and other professionals, e.g. GPs, District Nurses, Social Workers to ensure a comprehensive and versatile care provision

          We are looking for Care Assistants to join the Excelcare team at Longfield Care Home in Maldon, Essex.

          Excelcare is a family owned care home group established for over 30 years. Offering great care every day is central to everything we do.

          What you can expect:

          Salary: £9.39 - £9.68 per hour, depending on experience.

          Full time. Day and night shifts available from 8am- 8pm/8pm - 8am.  Monday - Sunday.
