The role

You will be responsible for prospecting and forming strong relationships with key decision makers and ensuring that the company has high quality market intelligence. About this role

Responsible for winning new logo business from defined territory and overachieving against your profit and customer satisfaction targets. Reporting to the Sales Manager this role is responsible for having an in-depth understanding of the business drivers, requirements, technological, political, economic and environmental influencers in a key opportunity.

You will be on the frontline for BT Enterprise, driving to increase revenue and market share (share price impacting), using your skills in excellent relationship building, influencing, and negotiating skills, and have the ability to captivate potential customers interests from a cold start all the way to winning new business. 

You will be accountable for acting as an ambassador both in the external market and within internal stakeholders, demonstrating best in class sales behaviour and delivering excellent customer experience results within your territory, as well as having the ability to own and articulate your winning sales plans and drive these into tangible sales activities, successfully engaging virtual teams. 

Youll have the following responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager - Packaging
Due to current company growth, projected growth plans, and the number of opportunities that have arisen in new markets, we are now seeking a proven Business Development Manager who will ensure the efficient management of new customers and business opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development Manager - Packaging
· Be responsible for negotiation of price movements of all packaging solutions and services.
· Be skilled at identifying, quantifying and proposing a plan to gain additional business from new customers and demonstrate the ability to network through clients.
· Drive high profit margin and ROI: achieve margin improvement with mix of products
· Ensure a professional line is presented at all times managing customer expectations as appropriate in line with the business priorities.
· Manage the total cost of servicing the account, including the 'hidden costs'.
· Ensure that the customer's SLA is delivered
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager - Packaging
· A proven track record of success in a face to face sales role from the packaging industry
· Knowledge of the printed folded carton or gift packaging sector is essential.
· Ideally you will have experience of selling to the gift, alcohol, confectionery or beauty and cosmetic sectors
· Commercially astute and consultative approach to selling.
· Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
· Strong influencing skills with experience of working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
· Proven track record in developing new and existing accounts. Real 'can-do' attitude.
· Self-motivated, Ambitious, entrepreneurial, with excellent team player skills.
