Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Marketing Business Analyst for their Corporate Marketing Department.  The right candidate will be the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks of our software product’s features.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position performs all necessary tasks to ensure the accurate and timely completion and delivery of reinsurance cession statements, and customer service as outlined in the responsibilities. The incumbent is responsible for the reconciliation, preparation and delivery of accurate and timely cession statements; providing the accurate and timely response of reinsurance customer requests.

The Reinsurance Business Analyst is required to make decisions to which would lead to the improvement of accuracy or timeliness in the delivery of all areas responsibility. Current processes and procedures cannot change without manager prior knowledge and written approval, but the Reinsurance Business Analyst is encouraged to recommend then make changes that would improve efficiency of his or her work.

• On a monthly basis, review, analyze and reconcile the data associated with the cession statements to ensure accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to determining the ceded data ties appropriately to the direct data by validating the ceded data against the reinsurance agreements, corresponding direct data, and claims. Report and follow through to resolution on all discrepancies and reconciling items. Additionally, the incumbent will be called upon to work with the IT Department to ensure accuracy of data mapping to support the accuracy of the cession statements.

• 25%On a monthly basis, review all cession data on a qualitative and quantitative basis prior to the distribution to reinsurance clients. Follow up on any unusual items that may appear such as swings in premiums, claims, earnings, expenses to determine whether such items are appropriate or require correction. Prepare a summary of the review and findings for manager.

• 20%On a quarterly basis, review trust account portfolio to ensure compliance with the trust agreement. Provide a breakdown of investment income including gains and losses realized and unrealized.

• 10% On a daily or as needed basis, receive customer requests for disbursement of surplus, dividends, payments for annual license renewals, taxes and the like. Review trust accounts to ensure payment adequacy.

• 10% On a daily or as needed basis, provide support to the sales department by receiving requests for ProFormas, performing the necessary analysis and delivering a timely document to requesting Business
