The Role
Our Accounts team have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Payments Clerk who will be responsible for processing payments across multiple entities, to our suppliers, property contractors, vehicle repairers and claim settlements to individuals.
You will be processing policy holder payments and any ad-hoc payments required. You will report into our Accounts Payable Supervisor, joining people who are passionate about our business and who will encourage and support you to achieve your own goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process scheduled payment runs across 3 legal entities
- Process ad-hoc payments as directed by Supervisor
- Obtaining approvals in accordance with the company bank mandate for all payments
- Maintain financial records related to all payments
- Work collaboratively with the other members of the payments team
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships when dealing with requests for remittances
- Communicate with other teams within Finance when required
- Liaise with Operational teams where necessary
The Candidate:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including maths and English.
- AAT trainee or equivalent would be desirable.
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant roles is essential, previous responsibility for performing payment runs would desirable.
- Good understanding of business payments and banking platforms.
- Moderate Excel skills with attention to detail and ability to keep ordered records.
- Previous knowledge of Finance systems is essential, a working Knowledge of Sage or D365 would be advantageous.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work both within a team environment and also the capability to work under own initiative.
- Computer literate.
- Able to work in a busy and often pressured environment.

We are working with a well-established business that is currently looking for someone to process their payroll on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join the business during a time of transition.
Duties will include:
- Processing weekly, monthly, 4 weekly and fortnightly payrolls
- Ensure all payroll calculations are correctly entered into the software
- Pensions
- Year End procedures
- Processing new starters on to the system
- Processing finishers and issuing P45's
- Running RTI and administering pension information for auto enrolment
- Setting up all pay rates and salary information, including overtime rates and shift allowances
- Dealing with payroll queries including SSP, SMP, SPP, Tax and NI
Skills and Experience
Previous payroll experience is essential and you will be up to date with relevant payroll knowledge. The client are looking for someone with good IT skills, who is a team player and has strong communication skills.

Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer. To be part of a team providing a support service to various departments. The successful candidate will be processing invoices received from a wide range of suppliers using our Mosaic Care Management system and Oracle EBS Accounts Payable System.
Main duties:
- Accept invoices from suppliers and obtain the relevant approval to pay, ensuring where possible that agreed payment terms are met.
- Identify where goods and services have been received without a purchase order, and obtain the appropriate cost codes, approvals and justifications from the service to make payment.
- Make any other payments with appropriate authorisation e.g. payment requisitions.
- Undertake journals as required e.g. to allocate costs or make code corrections.
