An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Rheumatologist to join our well-established and highly successful Chelsea and Westminster Hospital team to provide maternity leave cover.
The Rheumatology Department has extensive facilities on both the Chelsea & Westminster (C&W) and West Middlesex University Hospital (WMUH) sites. There are currently 7 Consultant Rheumatologists, 1 Associate Specialist, 1 Specialty Doctor, and 2 SPRs, working alongside a team of a Nurse Consultant and 5 Clinical Nurse Specialists, across our two sites.

We pride ourselves on having established a seamless multi-disciplinary approach to the care of patients with rheumatology conditions and both roles will have cross-site clinical responsibilities, to fit in line with the Trusts cross-site ethos.

Extremity Reconstruction Fellow in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

We are actively looking for an Extremity Reconstruction Fellow SpR equivalent to join the Plastic and Reconstructive Service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust based primarily in the Major Trauma Centre at St Mary's Hospital.
There is one post due to commence at the beginning of February 2022 for 6 months and one at the beginning of July 2022 for 7 months. Other fixed term posts may also be appointed to the longer term so suitable applicants are encouraged to apply.
The department manages approximately 150 open lower limb fractures and 30 complex upper limb injuries each year, either presenting acutely or as tertiary referrals and we are increasing the hand trauma service to deal with injuries attending the St Mary’s site. Additionally there is integration with the entire Major Trauma service and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with other teams involved in the management of the critically injured patient.
The post is suitable for an individual wishing to pursue a long term interest in upper or lower limb trauma and reconstruction. The work is relevant to anyone looking to work as a plastic surgery consultant within a major trauma centre. Traditionally the post has been held by individuals towards the end of their training but might also be suitable for the right candidate earlier in their training with a sub specialist interest.
The successful applicant will be expected to have the experience for clinical activity as laid out in the job description. The post holder should have passed the FRCS(Plast) or equivalent exam at the time of commencing in post. The post does not have Post Graduate Dean approval but has been recognised by the SAC so that the successful applicant can prospectively apply for the time to be recognised for training. The Fellow will work closely with the Extremity Reconstruction and Trauma Consultants in the care of both routine and emergency clinical problems. The post is based primarily at the St Mary’s site and to a lesser extent at Charing Cross Hospital. The post holder will join the SpR on call rota covering all Trust sites.

The Department specialises in microsurgical reconstruction; head and neck reconstruction and breast reconstruction on the Charing Cross site; extremity reconstruction, providing Plastic Surgery services to the Trust’s Level 1 Major Trauma Centre at St Mary’s Hospital. The Department is responsible for the care of general Plastic Surgery patients with an emphasis on tertiary referrals and undertakes between 200-250 free flaps per year.
The post holder will be one of 2 microsurgical fellows in the Department who will be expected to work together and provide guidance to the more junior Registrars in General Plastic Surgery. The successful applicant will be expected to have the experience for clinical activity as laid out in the job description. The post holder should have passed the FRCS(Plast) or equivalent exam at the time of commencing in post. The post-holder is encouraged to partake in and publish projects that have been established, as well as newer studies, and present the results at local and national meetings. Microsurgical experience such as previous Fellowship is desirable but not essential.

Portland is seeking an Associate Consultant to join our UK-focused corporate team to work primarily on our public affairs accounts.
With no two days the same, your activities will focus on helping our clients to understand and navigate the political environment, ensuring their voices are heard in the policymaking process.
