Arts Jobs Overview

Arts jobs can be found in a variety of settings from museums to studios, but one important skill is common for most: creativity. Being creative is all about producing interesting and eye-catching work, regardless of whether it's in the design studio or during a photography session. Anyone who enjoys coming up with new and innovative ideas, or just simply loves the arts, will be suited to a position in this sector. Some jobs require working in a range of environments, such as product design.

Arts Jobs Education Requirements

For working in a museum as an assistant, skills in customer service and concentration are important, as well as GCSEs in Maths and English. Museum curators require further education at the degree level in heritage or museum studies. Likewise, naval architects often possess a degree recognised by the Royal Naval Architects (RINA). For photography, most take a course at university or college in order to hone the technical skills required for such a profession. Marketing jobs demand similar skills in creativity and design, while music teacher jobs combine learning with creativity.
