Apprenticeships Jobs Overview

For many years, if you wished to enter an industry, you often had to stay at school, as well as sometimes continue to university, to get the qualifications you needed before entering the industry. Times have changed and now there are many ways to enter an industry, with an apprenticeship in the job seeker's chosen field being one of them.

The industries the apprenticeships jobs are offered in range from engineering through to car mechanics, as well as other careers such as veterinary nursing.

Undertaking an apprenticeship is a job, but it is one where the apprentice earns qualifications as they gain experience on the job. It can be considered a good balance between being a student and gaining valuable experience within the industry. Apprenticeships on average take one to four years to complete.
