£30k - £40k Per Year

An exciting eCommerce company are looking to add a Front End Developer to their growing team. They are a respected brand that has a growing global audience and are looking to expand the Development team due to how busy they are.
You'll be joining a small team, based in Edinburgh (but currently working remotely). They are focused on quality and craftsmanship - both in their products and the digital platforms. Hopefully, you'll share their values and bring some creativity, too!
They are looking for a Developer to specialise on the Front End of their eCommerce sites. They work with Vue.js so experience with Vue.js would be really beneficial but isn't necessary. It is essential that you have experience working with at least one of the modern Front End frameworks though! If you've got experience with a modern framework and are willing to cross train over to Vue.js, then this could definitely be the role for you. Due to how busy they are, they don't have the capability to bring in someone at junior level and it'd suit someone that has got a decent amount of commercial experience under their belt.
As mentioned, they're based in Edinburgh and ideally, you'd be able to work out of the office most of the time. Saying that, they are flexible and can offer flexible working for people that really require it! They are all working remotely at the moment meaning the interview process and onboarding will be done remotely too. The salary for the role is up to £40,000 although they could potentially stretch that for someone that is perfect for the role.
If you're an experienced Front End Developer that wants to work for a growing eCommerce brand then please apply/and or get in touch with Jack Steven at Cathcart Associateds.

Front End Engineer (Multiple Levels)

Cathcart Associates

Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh, Scotland
£40k - £70k Per Year

£40k - £70k Per Year

A well-established agency/consultancy in Edinburgh is on the lookout for Front End Developers of multiple levels (Mid-level, Senior, Principal & Lead). Like most companies, they were a bit quieter over lockdown but rather than just maintaining their relationships with clients, they improved these relationships. This has worked out amazing for them as they're now busier than ever with existing and new clients!
They are well-known for their quality of work, creating bespoke solutions from trading platforms to mobile applications for some global clients. Every day is (genuinely!) different, with an incredible variety of projects, technologies, and tools to get stuck into.
What will I be doing and who will I be working with?
Great question!
You'll be based within a supportive, collaborative environment that will allow you to develop and grow, whilst at the same time giving you free reign (within reason of course!) to build the Front End of projects in the way you want to.
The technical teams tend to be set-up with around 5/6 Developers, a Product Owner, Designers, and a Tester. As a Front End Developer, you'll be expected to bring the Designers' work to life through attractive user interfaces and strong user experiences.
Who am I?
The company are very much "tech agnostic" and care much more about your overall skills as an Engineer. They do work with very modern technologies so any exposure to modern Front End frameworks would be a massive bonus, as well as a working knowledge of UX/UI principles!
Don't worry, this isn't one of those organisations who wants a ninja, superstar, superhero … just someone that is fanatical about their craft. They also don't care if you are self-taught, have a degree, worked as a Scientist or a pro sportsperson in a previous life! They know good developers come from all sorts of different backgrounds.
As mentioned, the company are looking for Front End Developers from Mid-level all the way up to Lead and have several positions available. For the more senior roles, experience of leading/managing teams will be required!
What are the benefits and where will I be based?
This is probably worth knowing before applying. There is no hard ceiling with salary for these roles so anything up to the £70,000 mark is doable, with the potential to stretch that for someone that is a perfect fit. The company also boast a very strong benefits package with one of the best pension schemes that I've seen, along with other benefits such as gym membership, medical cover and much more.
They are based in Edinburgh City Centre and are all working remotely at the moment. When things do go back to normal, they will require you to be in the office at least 3 days per week, due to the collaborative nature of the work! Your first few months will be fully remote and interviewing/on-boarding will be done remotely too.
If you're an experienced Front End Developer that wants to work for a successful company that has a great reputation, then please apply and/or get in touch with Jack Steven at Cathcart Associates.
