As a Business Analyst for Northumbria Police, you will:
 
• be responsible for understanding, analysing and interpreting new business requirements and for probing existing solution to ensure they remain fit for purpose, current and still provide maximum value to the Force. 
• seek out opportunities to continuous drive improvement and will be expected to challenge current thinking and to influence decisions and outcomes. 
• work collaboratively within the engagement team to provide support to the Technology Partners in delivering sustainable force improvement and to take ownership and lead the business analysis phase of technology projects. This will entail gathering and documenting business processes and requirements, identifying business benefits and producing and owning Project Initiation Document using tools and techniques to aid in development business efficiencies.
• have great communication skills and to be able to present these requirements and business cases to both senior force decision makers and to articulate the requirements in enough detail to the technical teams including the Programme Management Office, Solution Architects, Developers and Business System Analysts.

Position Summary:
The junior data analyst is part of a team who manage the configuration, implementation and roll out of the GeoConnect+ platform and associated applications within our client’s projects and businesses. THE ROLE

The Card Schemes Officer and Business Analyst will be responsible for Card Schemes mandates, providing Compliance support across SecureTrading operations while helping the Card Scheme Manager setting up profitability analysis of the company portfolio.


Card Schemes Officer and Business Analyst - Duties & Responsibilities


- Ensure compliance to all Card Scheme/Alternative Payment Rules and Regulations


- Manage the Card Schemes Bulletins daily, including informing internal stakeholders about training conducted by the Card Schemes


- Analysing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Card Schemes Rules


- Monitor the Card Schemes requirements around mandated reporting


- Identify Card Schemes mandates, compliance activities and opportunities


- Working knowledge of Card Scheme (Visa and MasterCard) and other Alternative Payments Tools


- Conduct all merchant/partner registrations and any other registrations imposed by the Card Schemes


- Establishing and calculating the merchant and partner profitability in relation to merchant/partner pricing, Interchange and Card Scheme fees


Card Schemes Officer and Business Analyst - Experience, Qualifications & Skills


- Degree (or equivalent) or comparable work experience required


- Problem management skills. Strong interpersonal, presentation and organization skills


- Able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes.


- Clear and concise verbal and written communication.


- Broad and /or in-depth technical compliance knowledge and the application of rules and guidance in relation to Financial Services companies will be considered an asset.


- A wide experience and understanding of the banking and financial services industry, in particular to card schemes and other alternative payments, will be considered an asset


- Fluent written and verbal communications skills in English are essential. Additional languages will be considered an asset.

As a Business Analyst for Northumbria Police, you will:
 
• be responsible for understanding, analysing and interpreting new business requirements and for probing existing solution to ensure they remain fit for purpose, current and still provide maximum value to the Force. 
• seek out opportunities to continuous drive improvement and will be expected to challenge current thinking and to influence decisions and outcomes. 
• work collaboratively within the engagement team to provide support to the Technology Partners in delivering sustainable force improvement and to take ownership and lead the business analysis phase of technology projects.
