An opportunity has arisen in this busy practice for a Part Time Receptionist (22 hours per week over varying days) The post requires both communication and organisational skills with the ability to problem solve.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible to the needs of the service as we operate a shift system. The post will be based at Tenby Surgery. We are currently an Emis Web practice - although full training will be given on our computer systems. Job Description complete with duties attached.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Saundersfoot Medical Centre are looking for a full time/part time Receptionist to join our busy, friendly surgery admin team.

We are looking for someone with excellent keyboard and interpersonal communication skills to work in our busy reception. The right candidate must be flexible, have high attention to detail and able to work under pressure on their own initiative and as part of a team.

You will need to have accurate keyboard skills, and follow both written and oral instructions accurately.

Experience in Windows Microsoft Office is desirable as is an ability to prioritise work, problem solve and exercise discretion.

Knowledge of medical terminology, experience of GP clinical systems and working in a healthcare administration team setting would be advantageous.

This is a replacement post and you will join colleagues in a very dynamic and forward looking Learning Disabilities team.

Office accommodation, secretarial support and full IT facilities including access to intranet and internet will be provided.

Hywel Dda Health Board is one of seven acute Health Boards in Wales.

This post comes during a period of Health Board-wide service reviews, including a comprehensive reconfiguration of Mental Health and Learning Disability Services in West Wales. The focus on enhancing and developing learning disability services follows on from a very successful Adult Mental Health Transformation Programme.

The Learning Disability Improvement Programme is an exciting collaboration between the Health Board, Local Authorities, third sector and the ‘Dream Team’. The Dream Team is an award-winning group of service users supported by advocacy who are fully engaged in the change process and empowered to represent the views of service users. Developments include :-

  • The development and adoption of the Learning Disability Charter
  • Ongoing review of inpatient services
  • Enhanced access to mainstream mental health services
  • Establishing Health Facilitation Nurses in GP practices and General Hospitals across West Wales
  • Development of an Intensive Support Team as an alternative to hospital admission
  • ICF project development

The potential for Health Board-wide developments and a closer liaison with primary care and social services is substantial and exciting. A major expansion in undergraduate medical student teaching is planned.

Applicants who wish to develop areas of special interest will be supported to do so. There is scope within the health board to accommodate a wide range of interests including research, neurodevelopmental work, forensics, S-CAMHS and epilepsy.

Any applicant who is unable, for personal reasons, to work full-time will be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job Content will be discussed on a personal basis in consultation with Consultant colleagues.

An opportunity has arisen in this busy practice for a Part Time Receptionist (22 hours per week over varying days) The post requires both communication and organisational skills with the ability to problem solve.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible to the needs of the service as we operate a shift system. The post will be based at Tenby Surgery. We are currently an Emis Web practice - although full training will be given on our computer systems. Job Description complete with duties attached.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
