Team members will be on a 37.5 hour contract, working within a modern, friendly office and receive a salary plus achievable performance related monthly commission scheme.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous sales/customer service experience
- Motivation and the desire to work hard
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner, strong communication skills
- The flexibility to manage changing workloads and the ability to work with non-technology savvy clients
Experience within the Financial Services environment is not required for this role, but sales/office experience is preferable. There is an opportunity for progression for those who succeed within this position.
The hours for this role are primarily Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5pm, and Saturday 9:00 -1pm on a rota basis.
OTE £22-34K per annum.

Outpatient Booking Clerk - Penzance

We are looking to appoint a cheerful and motivated person to work within the busy Outpatient Booking Centre at West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance.

The Outpatient Booking Centre provides a focal point for outpatient appointments across the Trust and is responsible for booking both new and follow up outpatient appointments. It is a very busy and demanding area to work. The offices are open between 8am and 5pm.

The Booking Clerk will be responsible for delivering an excellent customer service to patients. You will need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way but be able to multi-task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions, and you must possess effective communication skills whilst always maintaining patient confidentiality. You must be confident, diplomatic and able to work in a busy environment with a pleasant and caring disposition. You will be required to have a good level of education and have some experience and knowledge of the NHS and ideally experienced in the use of the Outpatient Module of the Patient Administration System, E-Referrals and Microsoft Word. Full training will be given on IT systems.

You will be joining a highly dedicated administrative team that supports patient care.

This is a full time 37.5 hours per week permanent post.

They live either in a house in Penzance comprised of seven self-contained flats and an office or in the community in West Cornwall receiving outreach support. We are an evolving service and our aim is to provide 40 units of supported accommodation in West Cornwall.

We help our customers with independent living skills and self-management of health and wellbeing. This will include but is not limited to supporting people with maintaining accommodation, managing domestic tasks, finances and budgeting, accessing employment, education and training, as well as attending health appointments.

About our team

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us we’re not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Eddy O’Connor who has been with Home Group for 24 years and when not working and the weather allows loves to be in, on or near the sea, swimming, kayaking or walking his Westie on the coast path. There are 11 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! Lin is our “social secretary” and (when we can) organises nights out for the team and former members of Home Group staff so we stay in touch.

Working hours  

You’ll work on a Rota basis between the hours of 9am – 7pm and take your turn working days, evenings and weekends (currently Saturdays only). We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

After your probationary period you will have the opportunity to become an out of hour’s On-Call responder (paid at £15 per hour or part of hour) if you wish.

Bank

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

About you

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.  You will have (some) experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

We help change our customer’s lives for the better. You’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. You’ll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together we’ll make a difference!

To keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in supported housing, outreach support or a similar role before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.

Driving essential

As this is a community-based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!

The Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust is investing in St Michael’s Hospital to build on the already excellent patient outcomes to provide a venue for all elective orthopaedic surgery patients in Cornwall.

The hospital is 20 minutes away from the main Royal Cornwall Hospital site in Truro where the emergency trauma service is situated. It is 5 minutes from the 3 mile long Hayle beach and the South West Coastal path.

The St. Michael’s Hospital teams have for many years performed orthopaedic surgery; Historically the range of operations and the complexity of the patients able to be dealt with has been restricted by a lack of higher care facilities and side rooms for patients with infections. These facilities are now fully up and running with a 4 bedded higher care bay and a 3 bedded isolation Bay situated on St Joseph’s Ward.

The vision is to invest significantly into St Michaels Hospital to allow all required planned orthopaedic operations to be undertaken at St Michaels Hospital for all level of anaesthetic requirements. This will require enhanced pre-operative, perioperative and post-operative nursing and therapies with improvements and improvements have been made to the physical structure of the hospital and to the equipment available to accommodate such procedures.. We provide an immediate post-operative higher care area for 24 hours which is staffed by perioperative care staff. These staff have been through an in-house training programme which has enhanced their competences and has now become business as usual.

We will be the only elective orthopaedic hospital in the South West of England and are looking for keen enthusiastic staff to help progress our goals. We are already able to provide the most contemporary orthopaedic interventions, including arthroscopic, joint replacement and revision surgery to all joints and long bones.

The entire team are very excited about these changes and look forward to welcoming additional team members to make it happen.

Orthopaedic elective surgery in Cornwall is taking a big step forward in the advancement of the best care for our patients and looking to achieve the best outcomes. JOB DESCRIPTION (Event Organiser)

Cheeki Monkeys are recruiting event organisers for a varied role within our already successful team.

 

As a Cheeki Monkeys event organiser, your tasks will involve:

 

  • Sourcing venues to hold our events
  • Uploading upcoming event dates to free event listing websites and parent forums
  • Promoting our Nearly New Baby Sales via Social Media platforms
  • Building relationships with family orientated business
  • Overseeing event days; venue setup/directing stallholders to their allocated pitches etc.

 

Most of your work will involve marketing your events online (using Facebook etc.). This role is suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds, NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED as Cheeki Monkeys will provide you with all of the knowledge that you require to be a successful event organiser within our organisation. Our mentoring techniques are valued highly by our existing team of event organisers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic computer skills and access to the internet

  • You should be a people person, willing to make new friends
  • You should have the ability to create relationships with people from all walks of life
  • You should possess a good command of both verbal and written English

One of the UK's leading currency brokers is looking for a motivated and hardworking person to join an expanding team. The role is based in the company's Penzance office, easily commutable from Truro and a variety of locations.

As a member of the Small Payments team you will work directly with personal clients, proactively contacting registered clients and helping them activate their online account. You will also assist clients with their transactions and answer any queries they have.

This is not a cold calling role, the successful candidate will be making contact with registered clients with genuine requirements.

Team members will be on a 37.5 hour contract, working within a modern, friendly office and receive a salary plus achievable performance related monthly commission scheme.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous sales/customer service experience
- Motivation and the desire to work hard
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner, strong communication skills
- The flexibility to manage changing workloads and the ability to work with non-technology savvy clients

Experience within the Financial Services environment is not required for this role, but sales/office experience is preferable. There is an opportunity for progression for those who succeed within this position.

The hours for this role are primarily Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5pm, and Saturday 9:00 -1pm on a rota basis.

OTE £22-34K per annum.
