We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Data Analyst to join our team here at Lands’ End Europe in Oakham, Rutland on an Apprenticeship.

 

Alongside your study towards a data analyst qualification, you’ll be assisting the Operations Analyst with data analysis, ensuring data integrity for reporting, supporting and maintaining key databases. You’ll assist with extracting and manipluating data from various data sources, completing month end tasks, budget and reporting.

 

Once you’re all trained up you’ll be Deputising for the Operations Analyst when needed, working closely with our Operations Leadership and Finance teams. We need a quick learner and the ability to take on new information quickly. You’ll need a passion to learn, be inquisitive and above all – accurate!

 

What you can expect:

 

  • Reviewing processes, updating process map and recommend improvements
  • Assisting with weekly, monthly and annual forecast and budget
  • Manipulating complex datasets (sometimes dirty data) with a range of software packages
  • Daily reporting
  • Working with the operations analyst to ensure appropriate analysis is delivered in a robust and timely basis.
  • Invoice reconciliation, tracking and summaries
  • Monitoring KPIs
  • Assisting the Analyst with Month end reconciliations, adjustments and reporting

Duties
This position entails working in the mechanical assembly area.
Tasks include:

Qualifications
You will have passed at least 5 GCSE's to grade C or better, including Maths, Science, and English. As a minimum you will have a City and Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, and have further appropriate vocational training and experience. Preferably you will have an ONC in Elec/Electronics and have completed a relevant structured vocation training programme or apprenticeship.
Job holder's skills and personality
  • You must be capable of working from drawings and technical documents. Most of the work is small volume or one-off production and you will be expected to do a neat and accurate job, with right first-time completion to an acceptable timescale.
  • You will be part of a small team of energetic people, so the ability to work and mix with others is important, but you must also be resourceful and self-reliant.
  • The work involves a certain amount of manual handling and manipulation of the assemblies. Strength, fitness and agility are therefore essential
