We have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse, who possesses excellent communication skills, to join the Newton Abbot Community Nursing Team based in Albany Clinic, Newton Abbot. It is a large and friendly team, where you will have the opportunity to develop your existing clinical skills and knowledge of complex patient care, working autonomously but as part of a larger supportive multi-disciplinary team with our health and social care colleagues.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and will provide Community Nursing care, advice and information to patients and carers with the aim of maintaining patients in their own homes enabling them to enjoy maximum independence and optimum quality of life.
This is a fulltime post of 37.5 hours on a permanent contract but we are flexible and part time hours will be considered.
You will be expected to work flexibly between the hours of 7am and 7pm, 7 days a week, (mostly 7.5 hours shifts) including weekends (usually one a month) and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the Service. You may be expected to work across both the Newton Abbot area and Bovey Tracey and Chudleigh.
Valid UK Driving licence and access to car will be required for this role.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our locality pharmacy team and help us continue to develop our range of ward-based clinical services in the community hospitals of South Devon.
The role is to improve the safety and efficiency of the patient journey, from admission to discharge and to provide the vital link between Torbay Hospital Pharmacy Dispensary and the Community Hospital Teams.
The postholder will work closely with the locality pharmacists and technicians and the other pharmacy colleagues working in the community, to provide seamless care from hospital to discharge home.

As an integral part of the growing Consultant Team of 7.23 WTE Geriatricians you will help to shape an develop services for older people in Torbay including those living with frailty who require urgent and emergency care. We are currently redesigning our pathways and seek to ensure that they are accessible, responsive and person centred and most importantly that they support people to remain as close to home as possible whilst still being able to access expert care.
