DUTIES

 

Your duties and responsibilities as the Warehouse& Distribution Depot Supervisor:

 

  • Controlling stock investment and availability

 

  • Working in line with company procedures to provide a great level of service for customers

 

  • Ensure supplies are distributed promptly and efficiently within the requirements of Finance, BASIS, poison regulations etc

 

  • Ensure the security of company cash, stock and property

 

  • Maintenance of internal and external standards for compliance including but not limited to BASIS, Water and Fire Regulations, Health and Safety Executive, and Ministry of Transport inspections, Working Time Regulations

 

  • Undertake duties of the safety officer in respect of employee and public in the depot area

 

  • Responsible for the employee lifecycle for all depot members; Recruitment, induction, training, performance, check ins, appraisals, and any employee issues which may arise, using a coaching and mentoring style

 

  • Responsible for ensuring all compliance and safety measures are in place for contractors on site

 

  • Organise and manage the work of all depot employees, with the support of the Depot Assistant

 

  • Responsible for the communication channels within the depot

 

  • Build strong and long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders across internal and external businesses

 

  • Maintenance of all company property and premises and ensure high standard of housekeeping within the depot

 

  • Must have a hands-on attitude and be able to work in any area of the depot when required

 

This role will be based in Liskeard, but there will be a requirement to travel to attend training/meetings when they take place or work at other depot’s as the business requires.

 

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

 

As the Warehouse& Distribution Depot Supervisor you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

 

  • Experience of working proactively alone, with the ability to motivate themselves, as well as working with the wider business.

 

  • People management experience is also essential

 

  • Previous agri-chemicals knowledge is desirable

 

  • Ideally, you will have a thorough understanding of Agricultural supply chain practices and ways of working along with outstanding knowledge of the Company’s product range, although training will be provided to the right candidate

 

  • In addition, a resilient attitude, great communication skills, a high attention to detail whilst working under pressure and a ‘can-do’ approach are required

 

  • A flexible approach to your working pattern and hours will be essential to meet the seasonality of our business

Experience of working on construction sites, the ability to read technical drawings and interpret contract programmes and knowledge of British Standards and site health and safety is also essential.

Liskeard Minor Injuries Unit has a rare opportunity to work in a practitioner-led Minor Injuries unit with no on-site medical support, committed to delivering high quality care to the local population. The MIU operates 8am-10pm.

This is a Band 6 post and we are interested in interviewing both Practitioners who able to work in an advanced practice role which includes minor illness and paediatrics at Band 6 level and also Aspiring Practitioners with an urgent care background who would like to develop further and are already undertaking and have almost completed a relevant minor injuries and illness course .

You need to have a passion for minor injury care, good communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent care as part of the MIU team. It is an expectation of the role that the post is offered on the basis of working 7.5 hour shifts including regular rotation to cover evenings and weekends. We are a small team and flexibility is vital to ensure service provision.

Cheeki Monkeys are recruiting event organisers for a varied role within our already successful team.

 

As a Cheeki Monkeys event organiser, your tasks will involve:

 

  • Sourcing venues to hold our events
  • Uploading upcoming event dates to free event listing websites and parent forums
  • Promoting our Nearly New Baby Sales via Social Media platforms
  • Building relationships with family orientated business
  • Overseeing event days; venue setup/directing stallholders to their allocated pitches etc.

 

Most of your work will involve marketing your events online (using Facebook etc.). This role is suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds, NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED as Cheeki Monkeys will provide you with all of the knowledge that you require to be a successful event organiser within our organisation. Our mentoring techniques are valued highly by our existing team of event organisers.
