Our Emergency Department at University Hospital Lewisham is a vibrant, challenging and rewarding environment in which you can develop your career in ED Nursing. We serve a large and diverse local population who present with a huge range of clinical illnesses and injuries.
The department, incorporating a fully integrated Urgent Care Centre (UCC) is modern and bright, offering state of the art facilities. We see in excess of 120,000 patients per year presenting with a varied and diverse mix of clinical needs and presentations. As well as the UCC clinical areas include Streaming. Triage, Major Treatment area, Resuscitation and our Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). CDU is an 11 bedded ward environment for short stay admissions and for patients requiring short term monitoring and treatments.

Can you work to increase efficiency and support movement to an admission bed once a 'Decision to Admit' has been made? Do you have a keen interest to support our Acute Hospital Trusts colleagues to minimise breaches at the ED and medical wards?If you answered yes to these questions, you may be the right person for this job.
You will be responsible for managing all referrals for inpatient admissions (Adult Acute Inpatient Services, PICU and Older Adults Inpatient Services) to ensure effective patient flow. You will also propose and implement initiatives aimed at reducing length of inpatient stay and reducing 'Delayed Transfers of Care' through coordinated discharge planning. Ability to work under considerable pressure at times is essential.
You will have the opportunity to work across organisational boundaries and with a variety of stakeholders, therefore the ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic with a keen sense of accountability.
You will have the support of the Patient Flow Clinical Manager and the Greenwich Service Manager for Mental Health through clinical and managerial supervision to develop.

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust requires a dynamic and forward thinking consultant for a 6-month locum post in Neurology.
The locum consultant will work closely with the existing Consultants within the Neurology services across the sites of the new Trust. The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust was created in 2013 from a merger of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) with University Hospital Lewisham (UHL), as part of a reconfiguration of services in South East London recommended by the Health Secretary, and it also provides neurology services to Bexley residents at Queen Mary’s Hospital Sidcup.
The hospitals cover the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich and parts of Bexley, with a combined population of more than 500,000 people, and the consultant will work at QEH at UHL in the first instance. The new consultant will run outpatient clinics, carry out ward consultations for acute inpatients, and support student teaching.
In addition to three Consultants in the Neurology Unit at QEH, there is also an MS and a Parkinson’s Disease Neurology Nurse Specialist, and we are currently out to advert for an Epilepsy Nurse Specialist to work across QEH and UHL. The existing consultants have specialist interests in MS, movement disorders, muscle disease and epilepsy. At UHL, there are three Consultants with specialist interests in movement disorders and epilepsy, as well as a Specialty Doctor in Neurology and a Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Specialist.
The post is based full-time at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, but the departments have strong links with the Regional Neuroscience Centre at King’s College Hospital.
All candidates should be on the Specialist Register with the GMC or be within 6 months of obtaining their CCT.

About the Role
The Assistant Campus Maintenance Manager will support the Campus Maintenance Managers in providing leadership, management and development of defined sites, ensuring financial, and operational commitments are met and exceeded. The role will require close liaison with all stakeholders.
The operation should be proactive and driven to achieve total customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring operational and health and safety compliance is achieved.
The post holder will directly line manage multi-skilled and fabric technicians. In addition, significant maintenance contracts are in place and the effective management of these contractors is a significant part of the duties.
About You
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a proven record of accomplishment in successfully managing and delivering an effective maintenance service.
The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in Engineering or a building related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience, with experience of maintenance management.
The post is a full time, permanent appointment. Starting salary will be in the range of £38,084 - £44,807 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
