What you'll be doing:
Joining our team as a Forklift Driver/Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift to lift raw packaging materials within a production factory environment. You will also ensure that packaging materials prepared by Machine Operators are moved to the dispatch/storage areas. Other duties include:
  • Operate machinery preparing paper packaging material in various formats
  • Verify correct raw materials and correct identification numbers
  • Operate the technical side of the machines to ensure consistent operation including potential fault finding
  • Ensure that the right materials are available for each individual machine at the right time to support smooth operation and consistent productivity.
  • Ensure that the end product is packed correctly for client dispatch.

Our ideal candidate
As our ideal Forklift Driver/Machine Operator, you will have 3 years' plus experience in driving forklift supported with a valid Counterbalance licence. You will also:
  • Have background of machine operation or similar, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Able and willing to perform repetitive duties including some lifting in standing position.
  • Well organised and conscientious and able to work to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate H&S awareness, as well as good quality and housekeeping standards
  • You are able to work shifts which include 5.30am to 2pm, 2pm to 10.30pm and potentially a rotating night shift in the future.
  • You are an enthusiastic and proactive person who feels comfortable to work both in a team and individually

Job overview

The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring that all patients with either a suspected or diagnosed cancer are proactively tracked through the appropriate patient pathway from point of entry to the Trust liaising with clinical and administrative teams ensuring each stage of their pathway is fully planned and booked to ensure Cancer Wait Times targets are achieved.

Accurate and timely collection of National Mandatory data in line with National requirements guidelines. (COSD and national audits)

Ensure that appropriate information is available for full discussion by all the members of the MDT in the form of hospital case notes and other clinical information.

Ensure that all the information is recorded during the MDT meeting and then disseminated to GPs, consultants, specialist nurses and other appropriate professionals outside of the Trust.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the patients are actively tracked through every stage of the patient pathway on a daily basis, ensuring appointments, diagnostic tests, and treatments are achieved within National and Local targets.

To identify any potential delays in individual cancer pathways and ensure all CWT processes/protocols are implemented & actioned within the necessary timeframes in order to avoid breaches of the cancer pathway national timescales

To liaise with clinical teams and Cancer Manager to expedite where necessary any interventions which are causing a delay outside of expected timescales.

Prepare breach reports and timelines for all confirmed breaches, obtaining validation from consultants ensuring reports are submitted within required timeframesTo undertake weekly PTL (patient tracking lists) meeting with Assistant Cancer Manager and relevant Divisional Teams and pro-actively monitor patients pathways to ensure breaches do not occur.Ensure the accurate and timely collection of National Mandatory data in line with National requirements guidelines (COSD and National Audits)

The post holder will be responsible for the organisation of MDT meetings. Ensure room bookings are made and confirmed, and all equipment is working and set up in readiness for the MDT. Report any failures of equipment to the appropriate person to ensure timely resolution so that it does not affect the MDT meeting.

Preparing appropriate lists of patients to be discussed at the MDT meeting understanding the rationale for patient inclusion.

Ensure that the relevant clinical data is available at the meeting for discussion, including notes, investigations and test results to include liaising with outside Hospitals for relevant information.

To attend MDT meetings and record outcomes live as well as collecting the appropriate clinical and performance data. Follow up outcomes from the MDT i.e. book outpatient appointments and contact patients to confirm as per protocols. Escalate potential delays in the patient pathway in a timely manner.

The Tenancy Resettlement and Support Officer will be responsible for the effective day to day management of the accommodation, the allocation of voids, and rent and arrears collection. You will offer a high standard of client centred support for our customers who have varying levels of need and are working towards a positive move on into permanent accommodation. You will also identify and provide resettlement support where necessary.You will also be required to represent us at external meetings and court.About you:We are looking for candidates who are passionate about supporting our customers who are homeless . You should also possess the following skills;Knowledge of supporting people, homelessness and general housing issues.Familiarity with support plans, risk assessments and supporting people framework.Knowledge of rent accounts, housing benefits and the arrears recovery process.Excellent communication skills and the ability to create good working relationships with partner agencies.Experience of dealing with people in difficult and stressful situationsGood IT skillsDue to the nature of the role, you must possess a clean full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Due to ambitious growth strategy and the plans to further increase volumes, Pregis is looking to recruit number of Forklift Drivers/Machine Operators to support our modern facilities in Stevenage, where we produce the majority of our paper solutions for the UK and European market. What you'll be doing:

Joining our team as a Forklift Driver/Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift to lift raw packaging materials within a production factory environment. You will also ensure that packaging materials prepared by Machine Operators are moved to the dispatch/storage areas. Other duties include:
  • Operate machinery preparing paper packaging material in various formats
  • Verify correct raw materials and correct identification numbers
  • Operate the technical side of the machines to ensure consistent operation including potential fault finding
  • Ensure that the right materials are available for each individual machine at the right time to support smooth operation and consistent productivity.
  • Ensure that the end product is packed correctly for client dispatch.

Our ideal candidate

As our ideal Forklift Driver/Machine Operator, you will have 3 years' plus experience in driving forklift supported with a valid Counterbalance licence. You will also:
  • Have background of machine operation or similar, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Able and willing to perform repetitive duties including some lifting in standing position.
  • Well organised and conscientious and able to work to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate H&S awareness, as well as good quality and housekeeping standards
  • You are able to work shifts which include 5.30am to 2pm, 2pm to 10.30pm and potentially a rotating night shift in the future.
  • You are an enthusiastic and proactive person who feels comfortable to work both in a team and individually
  • Sustainability and environmental friendly solutions make difference to you.
