What you’ll do:

  • Preparing vehicles for MOT inspection.
  • To Inspect and repair the powered fleet as required.
  • To carry out vehicle PMI audits as when required.
  • Diagnose faults using a diagnostic machine.
  • To submit vehicle reports as when required.
  • To ensure full productivity is achieved at all times on the shop floor.
  • To ensure that daily work tasks given by supervisor are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • To comply with health and safety legislation.

Salary: Between £37,294 - £44,054 (including a shift premium & location allowance)

Contract: 40 hours per week

Location: UPS Kentish Town, 353 Regis Road, London NW5 3UP

Shift: 10.00pm – 6.30am (40hours per week)

You will need:

  • City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics
  • Experience of working with commercial vehicles including LGV's would be an advantage
  • Full UK driving license held for at least 2 years.
  • A 7.5ton license would be an advantage

Task (Summary)

Description

Attendance

  • Issuing and processing arrival slips (late arrivals after 8.05am).
  • First day of absence phone calls and logging details onto MIS.
  • Following up on a child’s absence for every day of absence.
  • Follow the school CME processes when required and in conjunction with those staff. 
  • Produce,analyse and act upon attendance reports on a weekly basis.
  • Dealing with applications for pupils’ leave of absence.
  • Amending and maintaining attendance registers.
  • Identifying attendance trends and raising concerns,taking relevant action when required.
  • Monitoring ELPS gate buzzer throughout the day and welcoming visitors.
  • Dealing with late end of day pupil collections,and daytime pupil collections (e.g. for appointments).

Reception duties

  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in the reception area at all times:

-       Deal with queries quickly and efficiently.

-       Maintain absolute confidentiality at all times.

-       Carry out all safeguarding checks meticulously.

-       Receiveand sign in visitors.

-       Issue identification badges.

-       Brief visitors on safeguarding measures and outline fire safety procedures. 

  • Hospitality: provide refreshments as required.

Reception (telephone)

  • Taking external and internal phone calls.
  • Answering and maintaining the switchboard.
  • Keeping a clear concise record of all telephone calls received.
  • Logging parental phone calls ontoBromcom – briefly and accurately.
  • Dealing with any faulty lines/switchboard.

Administration

  • Sorting incoming post and putting in pigeon holes.
  • Receiving parent letters/notes and passing on relevant information.
  • Preparing outgoing mail (franking/weighing).
  • Keeping a diary and weekly appointments record.
  • Assisting with reports as required.
  • Keeping records of lesson observations and distributing information as needed.
  • Booking the meeting room and keeping a record.

Reprographics

  • Dealing with all requests for reprographics as and when required, especially when bulk photocopying or posting is needed.

General

  • Providing secretarial support when needed.
  • Supporting the organisation of school events such as parents’ workshops, etc.

We are a Local Neonatal Unit within the busy in North Central & East London Operational Delivery Neonatal Network and actively participate in Network groups and business.
We are passionate about working in partnership with parents and delivering safe family centered care. Our Neonatal unit has 24 cots, which is comprised of 2 intensive cots, 6 high dependency cots and 16 special care costs. Designated LNU, (Level 2) we provide excellent care for preterm babies from 27weeks’ gestation and for sick new born babies. We provide stabilization for babies at born at lower gestations prior to transfer to NICU.
In order to apply you need to hold nursery nurse qualifications and skills. You will also need to have experience of working with babies and families. You will be joining a team who work a variety of shifts including internal rotation to night duty, weekends and bank holidays.
