IT Helpdesk Support Analyst – the Role:
Taking ownership of support calls, you will be providing remote support to a wide-range of commercial clients in the U.S.. Full training will be given; the roles focus on mostly Software / IT issues – a combination of software support (supporting the client’s suite of software applications), hardware support (imaging / scanning systems), and the ‘IT’ environments around the products – e.g. Windows operating system, PC hardware, network connectivity (e.g. internet, printer, other peripherals), networking issues, etc.

The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring that all patients with either a suspected or diagnosed cancer are proactively tracked through the appropriate patient pathway from point of entry to the Trust liaising with clinical and administrative teams ensuring each stage of their pathway is fully planned and booked to ensure Cancer Wait Times targets are achieved.
Accurate and timely collection of National Mandatory data in line with National requirements guidelines. (COSD and national audits)
Ensure that appropriate information is available for full discussion by all the members of the MDT in the form of hospital case notes and other clinical information.
Ensure that all the information is recorded during the MDT meeting and then disseminated to GPs, consultants, specialist nurses and other appropriate professionals outside of the Trust.
To ensure the patients are actively tracked through every stage of the patient pathway on a daily basis, ensuring appointments, diagnostic tests, and treatments are achieved within National and Local targets.
To identify any potential delays in individual cancer pathways and ensure all CWT processes/protocols are implemented & actioned within the necessary timeframes in order to avoid breaches of the cancer pathway national timescales
To liaise with clinical teams and Cancer Manager to expedite where necessary any interventions which are causing a delay outside of expected timescales.
Prepare breach reports and timelines for all confirmed breaches, obtaining validation from consultants ensuring reports are submitted within required timeframesTo undertake weekly PTL (patient tracking lists) meeting with Assistant Cancer Manager and relevant Divisional Teams and pro-actively monitor patients pathways to ensure breaches do not occur.Ensure the accurate and timely collection of National Mandatory data in line with National requirements guidelines (COSD and National Audits)
The post holder will be responsible for the organisation of MDT meetings. Ensure room bookings are made and confirmed, and all equipment is working and set up in readiness for the MDT. Report any failures of equipment to the appropriate person to ensure timely resolution so that it does not affect the MDT meeting.
Preparing appropriate lists of patients to be discussed at the MDT meeting understanding the rationale for patient inclusion.
Ensure that the relevant clinical data is available at the meeting for discussion, including notes, investigations and test results to include liaising with outside Hospitals for relevant information.
To attend MDT meetings and record outcomes live as well as collecting the appropriate clinical and performance data. Follow up outcomes from the MDT i.e. book outpatient appointments and contact patients to confirm as per protocols. Escalate potential delays in the patient pathway in a timely manner.
Be responsible for maintaining and monitoring an attendance registerParticipate in cover for absent colleaguesMaintain a good knowledge of Trust Policies regarding Data Protection and security of Information and their application within the workplace.

To document and circulate, patient treatment plans outcomes of MDT meetings and ensure that content of discussion within the MDT, is faxed/emailed to the GP after MDT meetings.
To attend weekly MDT meetings and maintain a record of attendance of the Multi-disciplinary team at MDT meetings inline with Peer review
To be conversant with the Patient Administration System, Radiology and Pathology systems, Infoflex databases and Microsoft suite of applications.
To be flexible with working hours, in order to fit in with the MDT meeting schedules.

A certain degree of manual handling is involved in the physical pulling and carrying of patients case notes.
