ABOUT THE ROLE

Following the need to increase the size of one of our teams, we are recruiting to these newly created posts for one of our Children’s Homes in Kings Lynn. The Children’s Home offers a solo provision for young people with complex behavioural needs. This is great opportunity to start and/or grow your career in social care, you will get lots of training and support and be able to earn significantly above the basic salary with sleep in’s (which will be part of your shift pattern) and overtime.

The service in Kings Lynn is accessible from a number of locations, for example nearby Ely is 40 minutes by car and 30 minutes by train, Peterborough is commutable by car within 50 minutes.

Currently the team are operating on fulfilling one 24 hour shift per week and the remaining hours, totalling up to 38 hours per week, are divided over other days throughout the week based upon team meetings, one to ones and other needs as they arise. This current format is based upon the requirements of the Young Person we are currently supporting and may be subject to change.

As a Cheeki Monkeys event organiser, your tasks will involve:

You will be managed by the Designated Nurse Safeguarding Adults and the Designated Nurse for Children in Care, and work within the specialist safeguarding team. This is a strategic role, and you will be expected to work at the interface between health, local authorities and partner agencies to drive forward the national and local corporate parenting agenda for the health of Safeguarding Adults and young people including care leavers. You will work with Commissioners in the CCG, the Complex Cases Teams internally, and relevant external provider health care organisations in monitoring performance and the quality of local health services in regards adults at risk and vulnerable young people including those in care.

Your experience, skills and knowledge of safeguarding will enable you to undertake this role and become a crucial member of the Safeguarding Team and its future success. You will be working with experienced safeguarding colleagues who will support you to enhance your knowledge dependent on your safeguarding experience with adults and/or young people. Salary: £19,344-£19,671 with a maximum job rate of £20,430 PLUS up to £4,000 additional earnings from sleep in allowance PLUS the opportunity to do overtime (please note; this can vary). Pay review pending.

Being a support worker in a children’s home means never 2 days are the same, we can offer you a diverse, challenging and fun role. ABOUT THE ROLE

Following the need to increase the size of one of our teams, we are recruiting to these newly created posts for one of our Children’s Homes in Kings Lynn. The Children’s Home offers a solo provision for young people with complex behavioural needs. This is great opportunity to start and/or grow your career in social care, you will get lots of training and support and be able to earn significantly above the basic salary with sleep in’s (which will be part of your shift pattern) and overtime.

The service in Kings Lynn is accessible from a number of locations, for example nearby Ely is 40 minutes by car and 30 minutes by train, Peterborough is commutable by car within 50 minutes.

Currently the team are operating on fulfilling one 24 hour shift per week and the remaining hours, totalling up to 38 hours per week, are divided over other days throughout the week based upon team meetings, one to ones and other needs as they arise. This current format is based upon the requirements of the Young Person we are currently supporting and may be subject to change.
