Nelson Surgery are looking to recruit a reliable, enthusiastic, well-motivated GP receptionist to work as part of our reception team in supporting patients and clinical staff at the surgery. We are looking for an individual who has a team work ethic to engage with patients to deliver high quality care and services to our patients.
We are a small, friendly practice in a village setting. Previous experience as a receptionist would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
The role is part time (20 hours - afternoons) with a view of additional hours to cover sickness/holidays where needed.
Candidates will need to be flexible to support the demands of current primary care needs.
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administration duties and providing general support to the surgery team.

An opportunity has arisen within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is ready to consolidate and build their knowledge and skills within the Pelvic Health Specialty.
You will carry a mixed pelvic health caseload and be actively involved in service development throughout the Health Board. We receive referrals from both primary and secondary care which provides a great opportunity to be responsible for the care of patients across the pelvic health specialty. We treat patients from Uro-gynaecology as well as urology, psychosexual medicine and pelvic pain for both men and women, and are actively involved in Pelvic Pain MDT and teaching to both our Midwifery and Uro-gynaecology colleagues.
You will be supported by experienced clinicians including a clinical specialist, plus we have a structured personal appraisal system with annual reviews underpinned by the Knowledge and Skills Framework.
The base for the post will be at Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan in Ebbw Vale, however there is a requirement to work from Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan and Nevil Hall Hospital in Abergavenny. Both sites have good parking facilities, train links and modern changing facilities.
Job sharing and Part time hours would be considered.
