Here at Dobbies Garden Centres, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Pets Department Manager.
Reporting to the General Store Manager, you will be responsible for the Pet department within the store.
You will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service through your pet knowledge and expertise.
You should be an inspirational coach with experience of managing and leading a team of people within a similar retail environment along with the ability to analyse and interpret data to enable you to make sound commercial decisions.
As a member of the senior management team you will also have duty manager responsibilities including key holder duties.
About You
You will need to be a strong leader with proven experience of leading large teams within customer facing environments. You have the ability to meet and exceed targets, drive sales and create a great experience for your people and customers alike. You will have passion and enthusiasm for the brand coupled with great commercial awareness. You will be able to understand the diverse nature of our complex business and be able to use your experience to think on your feet.
Previous garden centre experience would be an advantage.

We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy GP practice, working 20-24 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, friendly, with excellent customer service skills and work well within a team, whilst also able to use their own initiative.
Good IT skills and an ability to work within a busy environment are also required.

MAIN PURPOSE OF POST
To provide a point of contact for patients
To facilitate effective communication between patients and the Primary Health Care Team and to promote a positive image of the practice to its patients and service users
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reception duties
Ensure efficiency of appointment system and monitor flow of patients into consulting and treatment rooms
Ensure patients without appointments, needing urgent treatment are dealt with sensitively whilst minimizing disruption to the surgery.
Explain Practice arrangements and formal requirements to patients requiring medical services.
Advise patients of relevant charges for private services, accept payment and issue receipts
Respond to queries and requests for assistance from patients and visitors
Record home visit requests ensuring all relevant information is recorded. Refer to the duty doctor when necessary.
Receive and make calls on behalf of the practice.
Divert and transfer calls and take messages in line with practice procedures
Action requests for ambulance transportation.
Fax documents appropriately and action any received faxes.
Appointments
Ensure familiarity with computerized appointments to include incidental and regular variations.
Book appointments and recalls, ensuring sufficient information has been recorded.
Print out a daily list of appointments
Repeat prescriptions
Action repeat prescription requests in line with agreed practice protocols and within agreed quality standards. (Controlled drugs are exempt)
Provide point of contact for queries concerning repeat prescriptions, ensure follow up action is taken for outstanding queries
Check prescription collection regularly. Bring uncollected prescriptions to the attention of the appropriate doctor.
Medical records
Provide medical records to doctors when requested.
Retrieve and file records accurately and in a timely manner
File correspondence, reports and results in accordance with practice procedures
Ensure records are kept in good repair and information is amended as appropriate on manual and computer records
Consulting rooms
Prepare consulting rooms in readiness for each surgery
Check consulting rooms at the end of each session, ensuring all correspondence/filing is dealt with and rooms are left tidy and secure.
Rooms to be restocked weekly.
Opening/closing procedures
Ready premises for patients and doctors to include setting alarm and telephone systems to day function
Secure premises at closure of surgery to include activation of alarm and setting of answerphone.
Ready reception for following surgery to include post/appointments.

Our Critical Care Unit is a 15 bed combined ITU/HDU that admits both elective and emergency patients and we have just received 12.7 million pounds to build a brand new 24 bed critical care unit scheduled to open in August 2022.
We have been graded as Good by the CQC and we are working towards obtaining and Outstanding grading. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed experienced nurse with exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, who can act as an excellent role model and passionate about quality, safety and innovation.
The role is pivotal to supporting the unit and requires you to lead and manage but also share your clinical expertise with the team. You must have energy and enthusiasm to oversee the delivery of safe and effective care, explore new and innovative ways of working to support the Trusts Strategic Priorities and Annual Objectives.
The post holder will be expected to support the Team Leaders and in turn the Lead Nurse and Clinical Lead in delivering the Trust Annual Objectives and Strategic Priorities whilst also ensuring that both local and national quality targets and key performance indicators are met.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high standards of patient care, providing supervision and leadership to junior staff with a diverse range of experience and skills. You will be a strong and effective nurse, be able to ensure a smooth patient journey through Critical Care and into the wider Trust, planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges, quickly identifying clinical problems and taking appropriate actions as well as deputising for the Team Leader and other colleagues in their absence. There will be opportunities to take part on relevant courses and personal development.
