This is a Kickstarter Scheme position (candidate must be 16-24 years old and be on, or have applied for, Universal Credit).

This role is focused on helping Homefans to communicate with customers and maintain and optimise the products that they sell. Duties may include

  • Answering customer queries
  • Updating and optimising the websites
  • Updating internal documents / general admin
  • Assisting with business development initiatives

Broadly speaking candidates will gain skills and confidence in communication, prioritising customer service and business development. Homefans will teach the successful candidate to use software such as WordPress.

During the placement, the candidate will work under direct daily supervision by a member of a Homefans team. A future version of this role may see the candidate given direct responsibility and therefore autonomy for a subset of this role.

About Homefans:

We are a two-sided marketplace allowing fans to discover, plan and book their sports trips and experiences in the best destinations around the world, and in a real-life or virtual environment; and local fans to list experiences, earn money and host - all in one place. We are starting with football and currently expanding into other sports.

It all started out based on personal experiences. We foresaw a need that wasn't addressed: Travelling fans look for more than just a match ticket at their destination; they seek for experiences and to be a part of something bigger, surrounded by like-minded people. At the same time, there are plenty of local fans who would love to design and host these experiences, and earn money whilst having a great time.

With the launch of our most recent marketplace, we are onboarding local hosts at a rapid scale, enabling growth in the product inventory and destinations for our community of travellers - unique sports trips and day tours led by locals. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have also innovated in the space by enabling the offering of a 360 Degree Fan Experience, with the launch of the virtual experiences and Homefans Shop - fans can continue enjoying an immersive sports experience from the comfort of their homes.

Homefans are seeking bright and enthusiastic people who are keen to pursue a career in marketing / e-commerce / travel or sport. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate, either by past experience or study, an interest in these fields.

Applicants must have a high level of written and spoken English, be computer literate and have good numeracy skills.
