Description

We're supporting our clients as they adapt to a new world in the wake of COVID-19. We're now recruiting for roles which will help our clients to deliver vital services and to resume business wherever possible.

Designs solution roadmaps, according to business strategies and processes in solution architecture(SA), through client requirement analysis, cross-team collaboration and problem resolution. Help us strengthen our Technology Development and Architecture team as 'Solutions Architect' - Microsoft/ Cloud/.Net skills. Remote Based.

This position is home based but will require frequent attendance at some Capita Offices and customer sites. It is likely that there will be occasions where it is necessary to work additional hours to meet customer deadlines.

What you'll be doing:

•Work with existing and new customers to translate business requirements into fit for purpose Microsoft and Open Source based solutions through the complete project lifecycle;
•Undertake requirements gathering, planning, estimating, design and technical assurance of Microsoft and Open Source solutions;
•Provide support and guidance to both Project Managers and Technical Architects on Microsoft Open Source solutions;
•Provide technical direction and expertise to the Microsoft and Open Source Development teams;
•Active participation in project planning, team meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other meetings;
•Ensure all Microsoft and Open Source development work meets the agreed architecture and coding standards and take personal accountability for assuring design documentation and coding;

What we're looking for:

•TOGAF 9.1 required;
•Good working knowledge of configuring, customising and implementing Microsoft and/or Open Source solutions essential
•Experience of all aspects of software development lifecycle;
•Strong analysis, design and development skills and experience within an Agile environment;
•Broad experience of commercial software development environments;
•Good knowledge of Cloud Technologies, Microsoft 365, Node.JS, SharePoint, .NET, MS SQL Server and MS SQL Report Services
