where you will be a Member of the Platform Centre of Expertise (Platform
CoE) leadership team
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing EITS wide Agile/Scrum Leadership
• Operating productive relationships across Experian and beyond
• Ensuring that the department's teams are building a highly available, secure, globally performing Platform that can be run in-house, in co-lo or public cloud with elastic scalability
• Ensuring that the Platform is built from code + configuration, not manually and that all artefacts are version controlled
• Assisting with ad-hoc Program Management coordination of cross-team dependencies and alignment with wider strategic programs
• Ensuring alignment and provides leadership to of the wider Experian/EITS Agile framework(s)
• Providing agile leadership/mentoring to both COE members and any aligned resources
• Building strategic relationships with BU's, Regions, other EITS Management Team members
• Ensuring sprint activities are cascaded effectively into the team and assists in tracking/removing blockers
• Driving continual optimisation of departmental sprint team capabilities, morale and environment to their aligned line manager(s)
• Collaboratively inputs into workload prioritisation, relationships and strategy
• Leading the tracking, reporting and on-going optimisation of agile processes within the COE
• Coordinating with aligned PMs to ensure effective delivery in line with wider portfolio activities
• Providing frank feedback on team capabilities, morale and environment to their aligned line manager
• Leading an agile development environment, with a team of mixed development and infrastructure backgrounds, to ensure a mutually supported environment
o Offering assistance, coaching or mentoring to other team members, where you have specific areas of expertise - to help grow others
o Reaching out for assistance from others, where you have areas for development - to help grow yourself
o Maintaining an open, collaborative and adaptable culture in the team - always challenging yourself and the group to adapt and grow in a changing business and technical environment
o Perform research, conduct pilots and disseminate results to team members
• Assist in forecasts and budget management for their team's needs, including securing funding
• Collaboratively inputs into workload prioritisation, relationships and strategy
• Assists with Procurement/Sourcing negotiations for specific product/consultancy deliverables.
• Assists with communications around service
• Assists the Platform Owner and Product Owners in prioritising the backlog, running sprint ceremonies to deliver against the sprint objectives and the overall Platform roadmap
• Manages differing (and often competing) requirements from multiple stakeholders and regions to judge the priorities overall
• Operates a productive network of contacts throughout the Experian matrix
• Sources the solution of problems from within and outside of the team
• Direction is given by the VP Platform COE
Does this sound like you?
You will have:
• Expert knowledge/certification of agile processes and tools appropriate to their portfolio across the CoE
• G ood knowledge of agile techniques and PM frameworks to allow competent communication with other Experian teams and to make appropriate decisions
• Experience in the planning of budgets, demonstrating understanding of capex and opex and the phasing of spend over time
Leadership / Interpersonal skills / People management
• Experience of leading the management and departmental development of deep agile skills and understanding
• Developing and participating in a high-performing team with good personal development and succession planning
• Influencing others across EITS and senior figures in the business units
• Representing the CoE in dealings with customers and colleagues
• Deputising for a Director for short periods of time, such as vacations
