Foolproof is a fast-growing, forward-thinking design company with offices in London, Norwich and Singapore.

We are leaders in the human-centred shift in design. To achieve this, we work with the world’s most ambitious brands from strategy through design and development into delivery to market. We also partner with our parent company Zensar to deliver great customer experience at scale, in digital transformation initiatives.

The role at a glance

Reporting to one of Foolproof’s Programme Managers, this role would suit someone who has experience leading delivery projects and shaping new opportunities, most likely from a consultancy or digital agency background. You’ll have a strong interest in experience design and technology, the desire to work in a creative agency environment and a solid understanding of platform delivery and offshore team management.

Role and responsibilities

We look to our Senior Project Managers to be competent across three core skillsets, and have experience applying these skills to client engagements:

  • Lead mid to large scale projects (3-6 months in duration), define project scope, identify key milestones, plan key deliverables, create Statements of Work and project plans, proactively manage project budgets and contingencies, and manage the financial process.

  • Set realistic deadlines, communicate consistently to key stakeholders and project teams, proactively identify and manage project risks/issues, and escalate as required.

  • Liaise with the Resourcing team to identify/change resource profiles and communicate key decisions to Client Engagement which may impact commercials and client relationships.

  • Identify the optimal delivery methodology and be flexible in adapting to the specifics of a given project.

  • Validate and verify project-level requirements, manage relevant quality standards, ensure approval by appropriate stakeholders.

  • Own and develop our relationship with new and existing clients. Be comfortable talking about your client's business, industry, goals, challenges, and key technologies. Identify and develop both project change and incremental growth opportunities; support Client Engagement in defining, scoping and selling these.
  • Have led mid to large projects (3-6 months duration and ~ £500k budgets) with multi-disciplinary teams in the UK and ideally offshore.
  • Experience delivering ‘Design and Build’ projects, utilising CMS/DXP platforms, analytics and ideally e-commerce.
  • Interest/experience of line managing and providing pastoral support to project team members.
  • Experience leading waterfall and agile projects, with 5 years plus professional experience of which at least part is gained from an agency environment.
  • Experience supporting and contributing to new business opportunities, including scoping, inputting to proposals, and pitching delivery to clients.
Essential qualities
  • Attention to detail, demonstrable business acumen, strong verbal and written communicator; you will be able to interact effectively with senior clients and Foolproof colleagues building rapport and confidence in your leadership of projects.

  • Credible and a proven problem solver who’s confident in handling problems of varying complexity, identifying and driving pragmatic solutions and open to learning from and listening to others.

  • Of graduate calibre - you will ideally have relevant academic qualifications in a computing or engineering discipline, as well as holding one or more relevant project management certifications.

We put a lot of time and energy into making Foolproof the best place it can be for our people. We give our team the support they need to develop personally and professionally - in a collaborative culture that emphasises learning. We offer competitive salaries and a range of benefits including:

  • Regular salary reviews.

  • Annual bonus and profit share schemes.

  • 25 days holiday which increases with service. Plus the option to buy and sell leave.

  • Departmental training budgets for learning and development.

  • Quarterly away days including a team trip abroad.

  • Long service awards and enhancement to our standard benefits.

  • Company pension scheme.

  • Private healthcare.

  • Life insurance.

  • Cycle to work scheme.

Please note that although this role will be predominantly based in our London office, you will be required to travel to our office in Norwich and work on-site with clients as required.
