What will you do?
Serve as the leader in new CMO business activities for Vaccines and Bioproducts drugs, representing the client interests, while maximizing the sites financial position.
Direct and address all departments to get the expected results to the clients. Keeping in mind the Thermo Fisher values and objectives, give input to the main site’s functions (working in tandem with the Senior Director, Business Segment CMO Swindon) to deliver in time, in full and “Right first time” goods and services.
Lead all clients’ business relationship to ensure all issues are handled promptly and that all communications are timely and accurate.
Facilitate and direct client direct contact with Subject Mater Expert (SME) on site as appropriate.
Ensure plan execution is done in full respect of agreements and in compliance with Master Supply Agreement (MSA) and/or other relevant agreements with the client e.g. TT agreement, Product Agreement (PA).
Use the existing tools for escalation, report to Thermo Fisher top management structure and central corporate functions all the main happening on sites that could impact the Thermo Fisher performances and problems to clients with advices and action plans in place.
Quotations and Supply Agreements:
Negotiate the MSA/PA/TTA with clients, working closely with the Business Development Executive/Team and the Global Contract Services Team.
Ensure Business Managers follow the process for quotes on new business opportunities.
Review new business proposals to ensure alignment with financial commitments.
Ensure the correct assessment of the overall cost of a new or existing project (cost of production, capital requirements).
Ensure that all annual pricing updates are completed and delivered to the clients per the MSA/PA.
Ensures that all MSA/PA requirements are executed, including pricing, payment terms, renewals, yield reconciliations, etc.
Technical Transfer / Project Management:
Coordinate TT activities and support to resolve the Technical Transfer (TT) issues with other sites functions to respect the timelines and technical activities committed to the client.
Work closely with TT Project Managers to assume control of technical transfer projects upon validation.
Participate in and ensure that all projects between the sites and clients are executed according to the project plan.
Lead the identification and implementation of new initiatives with tools leveraging PPI.
Relationship with other Functions:
Work in tandem with Senior Director, Business Segment CMO Swindon to lead the site according to Thermo Fisher values, policies and respecting agreements with clients.
Coordinate all sites business activities with the Business Development group, Finance, Quotations and other internal functions
Reporting to the VP Business Management, EMEA with matrixed reporting to the Senior Director, Business Segment CMO Swindon, serve as an active member of the site's CMO Management Team and represent the site's business area in internal business review activities. Serve as a member of the European Business Management Tech Transfer Leadership team.
Financial and Forecast Management:
Ensure commercial client forecasts are current and posted into local system.
Ensure forecasts for new products/ projects are assessed and posted into the AOP to reflect the best information on the opportunity.
Know all financial obligations within the Master Service Agreement (MSA)/Product Agreement (PA) and works with Finance to assure compliance.
Provide input and participate in the sites Business Plan and ongoing forecasts, including AOP and STRAP.
Engage, coach team members and enable exceptional performance within the Business Management Technical Transfer team. Identify, attract, motivate, and retain superior talents.
Create meaningful development opportunities and provide mentorship.
Generate and execute individual development plan (IDP) for Business Managers. Defines Goals and Objectives for the Business Management Technical Transfer team.
Who are we looking for?
Significant previous related experience in Project Management, Account Management, Sales or Marketing with internal or external client-facing responsibilities.
Pharmaceutical industry or Contract Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Prior role with client interaction experience required.
Experience with quoting, budgeting and demand management.
