Department Overview:




The UK CIB HRDepartment supports CIB staff and managers in London and Glasgow, providingthem with a full range of strategic advisory and transactional services (interms of payroll, reward, pension and benefits, recruitment, learning &development and employee relations). In regular contact with the Group HRDepartment of BNP Paribas S.A. (Headquartered in Paris), CIB HR is the entrypoint for all CIB employees on any HR issue. The team in London comprises ofcirca 80 HR professionals.






Purpose of the Role:




Head of UK CIB Business Partners:




This new rolewill lead the UK CIB HRBP team of seven HRBPs and three HR Advisers in Londonas well as be the lead Senior HR Business Partner for the UK Global Bankingbusiness. The individual will be required to line manage this HRBP team whilstdriving the engagement and optimal productivity of all UK CIB HRBPs through thesetting of clear objectives and priorities. In addition, the individual willwork closely with the UK Global Markets HRBP team (managed separately by theGlobal Head of HR for Global Markets) to ensure co-ordination and consistencyof approach across all UK CIB businesses.





Senior HRBP Global Banking UK:





This positionwill provide strategic HR business partnering to the UK Head of Global Banking(SMF for the UK Global Banking platform) and the UK Global Banking ManagementCommittee, to define and deliver an effective HR People Plan in line with thegrowth plan and business strategy. The role will partner closely with the UKGlobal Banking COO to drive the implementation of the HR Strategy. In additiona key requirement for this role will be to build on the effective workingrelationships with HR stakeholders in Paris.




The UK GlobalBanking business incorporates the following business areas: Capital Markets(including Debt Markets, Securitisation, Syndication, Leveraged Finance andEquity Capital Markets); Corporate Coverage, Industry bankers and M&A. Therole will be supported by another HRBP with additional support from an HRAdvisor.




Key Responsibilities:




Leading andmanaging the UK HRBP team, providing guidance, support and decision making asappropriate




Providingreal-time feedback and updates to the UK Head of HR for all UK business linesand functions and engaging proactively in the UK CIB ‘People Strategy’




Partnering withaforementioned business to align HR practices with the strategic businessinitiatives; attending the Global Banking Management Committee and Conduct& Operational Risk Committee as well as various strategy and planningmeetings




Establishstrong working relationships with the EMEA GB HRBP’s headquartered in Paris, aswell as the Regional HR Business Partners




Work closelywith the Global Banking COO to monitor and maintain headcount reporting andresourcing




Ensuring thatHR services are provided as appropriate and identify new opportunities where HRcan add value, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR issues and best practices




Support linemanagement in forecasting and planning the talents requirements in line withthe business strategy, including succession planning for key roles




Management andoversight of the Compensation Review to ensure that equal pay and market normsare considered Partneringwith Learning& Development to develop, implement and manage a development plan to meetthe overall strategy of the business;




Working withthe Compensation and International Mobility / Pensions and Benefits team inrelation to any associated business queries (ie: annual compensation survey,market development, expatriation issues, pensions, tax matters);




Ensuring thatperformance management policies and procedures are implemented and maintainedand that the Appraisal Programme is adhered to;




Participatingin projects implemented within the Department as part of its objectives or inad hoc projects implemented either by HR Management or by senior managerswithin the functions which they support;




Working withthe Employee Relations desk to ensure that issues pertaining to EmployeeRelations within the client groups within their remit are managed effectivelyand economically;




Working withthe Recruitment Desk to ensure that recruitment progresses in a timely mannerin line with the Global Banking hiring plan
