The Role:

Our success is built on the continued on site support we deliver to our customers once the installation is complete. The Regional Maintenance Manager is critical in providing escalation and leadership to a number of individual customers and sites and standardizing processes across these sites to ensure best practice and uniformity.

Purpose of the role:

To support a group of capable Resident Site Maintenance Managers that consistently and successfully deliver >98.5% system Uptime on their respective Sites. To mentor, guide, monitor and develop the group in a way that promotes Dematic values and supports the requirements and activities of our customers to Deliver In-Full, On-Time. As well as providing technical support to other non residential sites also.    

Main responsibilities:

  • Talent Management:  Identify and manage training requirements;  Continuously develop the group to nurture best in class Site Maintenance Managers  
  • Technical Direction:  Promote, support and propagate the standardisation/harmonisation of maintenance practices within the NE Region;  Review, check and approve maintenance instructions;  Develop, share and implement best practice ideas;  Liaise with Company Product Centres, Centre of Excellence and key suppliers to provide technical clarifications;  Ensure that the required Health and Safety documentation including, but not limited to Method Statements and Risk Assessments are produced and adhered to correctly
  • Resource management:  Direct reporting line for Site Maintenance Managers;  Ensure a close working relationship within the Customer Services  organisation and other disciplines and departments;  Supply operational metrics to demonstrate adequate monitoring and control of the group;  Oversee the recruitment, training and development of all Dematic Resident Site based employees;  Short, medium and long term capacity and capability management
  • Continuous Improvement:  Define, support and lead LEAN projects;  Identify and highlight opportunities  Relentless continuous review of process            General Responsibilities

 

What We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this role you will ideally have previous experience of managing diverse teams across a number locations ideally in an automated warehouse environment or be looking to develop your career in the automated warehousing industry.

  • HNC   / HND, or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical/electronic techniques (BSc/BEng Degree in engineering discipline preferred)
  • Proven experience of system operations within the automated materials handling industry
  • Conversant Microsoft Office Suite
  • Conversant with control engineering principles and design solutions
  • Proven experience in material handling equipment, particularly ASRS
  • Understand and use relevant design standards such as EN528
  • Proven history of working and balancing workload in a high-pressure environment
