We are looking for a collaborative and proactive leader to drive improvements in security and facilitate the delivery of global security initiatives in their regions of responsibility. The post holder will support business colleagues across the function and wider through clear communication and decision making on risks, security threats and assessments and relevant mitigations.
The Regional Information Security Officer will represent the Global Security function in the UKI region and actively participate in strategic regional decisions. The successful candidate will be the main contact for information security issues. This is a strategic role and involves working closely with global and local business leaders, including Managing Directors and Executive Vice Presidents. As a trusted advisor in the region, you will influence strategic decisions and provide advice on the security threat landscape as well as insight on regional security gaps and priorities.
The ideal candidate will be business focused and with a strong ability to build relationships. The role will align with our Global Security Strategy, deliver risk assessments for global projects and deliver a security roadmap aligned with commercial and technology strategies. The post will also oversee incident investigations, vulnerability remediation, business requests and support on commercial proposals as required.
Skills, know-how and experience:
Excellent business vision, analytical and decision-making
At least 5 years experience in information security or computer technology
Good understanding of regulations, standards and IT security frameworks such as Cobit, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, among others.
Cross-functional team player with ability to mentor less experienced peers
Integrate Information Security into the project (and product) delivery lifecycle and carry out relevant assessment activities.
Technical / professional qualifications:
Leadership and ability to lead change across the company
Capacity to organize, coordinate and implement in both a global and regional context
Excellent oral and written communication
Pragmatic and problem-solving oriented
Knowledge of software development
Knowledge of Risk Management
CISSP, CISA, CISM or equivalent is desirable
Past functional leadership experience desirable
