About the team

The role involves providing Bid & Project Quality leadership to ensure the successful delivery of defence and space systems to customers in both UK and export markets.  The role will require overall Project Quality Management experience to co-ordinate, manage and report on Quality within IAS.  To manage and analyse reports to continually improve quality within the project, and ensure the quality performance is managed and reported to meet project time-scales.

We have an impactful and exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer for Thales UK. The role requires someone with a confident, professional background across Quality Assurance, who can help support the business as it evolves.

We are looking for a talented individual who can take on a fast paced and varied role, working as a team, you will manage quality and customer satisfaction within the IAS Quality structure including Bids, Projects, Operations, Engineering and Purchasing.

The Successful individual will encourage and develop best practice, promoting a quality culture and environment of continuous improvement.

About You

You will multi-task and prioritise without the requirement for regular direct supervision. You’ll have the ability to establish and meet deadlines. A proactive individual with excellent communication skills and have the capability to work closely with others in a cross functional team.

You will have the skill to work as a team player and take a calm, logical approach when reacting to the

challenges we face, and ability to bring people along with them when there is a problem.

We are looking for an experienced Quality specialist with ideally exposure in the defence industry or with experience of working on software engineering projects through their lift cycle.
