We are currently looking for an exceptional client side Project Manager who will become a key member of our Investment team. The role will be based with the client (Torus) and will deliver various flagship major projects in a challenging but rewarding environment.

We are an ambitious and well-established housing group with deep roots in our three heartland areas of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.

One of the largest landlords in the North West, we have 1,500 staff, manage more than 40,000 homes, support almost 75,000 customers and invest at least £5m a year into local communities and life changing causes.

A social organisation with a commercial focus generating income to drive our activities and deliver lasting change, Torus is a landlord, property developer, commercial contractor and social entrepreneur.

The post holder will manage all aspects of our investment projects (mainly refurbishments) including the planning, preparation and contract letting process. This will involve simultaneously managing multi £m projects with multiple stakeholders to strict deadlines.

The successful candidate will manage and control quality, compliance and assurance along with managing costs and cash-flow. We are looking for someone who can work in a changing environment and prepare for future changes that may arise from the legislative / industry changes.

Within this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the compliance team, specialists and consultants to provide assurance in relation to building and resident safety.

  • Ensuring projects are managed and delivered in accordance with latest regulations and requirements.

  • Preparing reports and delivering findings to the Board and stakeholders.

  • Managing scheme scope, cost, quality, resource, communications and risk.

  • Delivering excellent services to meet operational goals.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be able to demonstrate project management experience in a relevant housing setting.

  • Have strong leadership experience which contributes to an environment that is based on trust, mutual respect and integrity.

  • Possess a proven track record of managing complex construction and planned maintenance projects.

  • Have a background working with business stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Able to be flexible, respond positively to change, and work effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.

  • Possess a full UK driving licence and be able to travel between sites.

Membership of CIOB and/ or RICS would also be advantageous but is not essential.
