About the role:

The Product Engineering Lead is responsible for the technical ownership of products and features, working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver products that match requirements outlined by the wider product team.

They will also be capable of delivering efficiencies internally through tooling and process definition and run a team of engineers to achieve successful product and feature delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

•Ensuring successful operation of your Software Engineering Team
•Collaborating with the SLT on the Software Engineering Team strategy and approach
•Leading and developing team members.
•Working closely with the growth team on the technical aspects of sales opportunities
•Definition of technical solutions and application architecture, with supporting documentation from your team.
•Responsible for ensuring the product is thoroughly documented from an engineering perspective.
•Release planning with backwards compatibility for each client implementation of your product taken into respect.

What we are looking for:

•Experience of complex software engineering and development
•Experience leading a software development team. 
•Experience in delivering projects and products as part of a multi-disciplinary Agile team.
•Knowledge / Experience of working in an environment that adheres to AWS Well Architected Framework.
•Previous experience collaborating with CI / CD.
•Experience with release planning.
•Experience of Azure Devops (desirable)
•Node / Typescript (desirable)
•Amazon Connect (desirable)
•Amazon Cloudformation (desirable)

Key Skills:

• Node / Typescript
• Experience with AWS development with SaaS / FaaS.
• In-depth knowledge of API integration / definition including documenting APIs in Swagger etc.
• Experience with HTML, JSON, CSS, SASS
• Knowledge of Accessibility best practices
• Previous experience with ticketing / collaboration software such as JIRA or Azure Devops.
• Previous experience of version control in GIT, with knowledge of implementing and refining Gitflow.
• Knowledge of Agile practices and team collaboration
