What we do
Client is a leading international service provider to the oil and gas production and processing industry. We design, build, operate and maintain oil and gas facilities, which we deliver through a range of flexible and innovative commercial models that can be aligned to an individual client, project or asset. We have a diverse client portfolio which includes many of the world’s leading integrated, independent and national oil and gas companies.

Scope of Services:
The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements. A requirement to undertake additional services shall be mutually agreed by way of contract amendment.
Services will undertake specified tasks/ areas of work dependent on size and complexity of project. Services will work independently as well as supervising and checking the work of other Estimators as delegate. Services are responsible for communicating issues potentially impacting the project to the Group Manager – Estimating / Project Manager or Project Engineer

Tasks to include
  • Prepare cost estimating basis, taking into account, Regional factors and Contracting and Execution strategy
  • Prepare AACEI equivalent Class 5/4 estimates for comparison of screening options, taking responsibility for selecting analogue data if available.
  • Work with the engineering and procurement teams to refine the cost estimates for the elected options to Class 4/3.
  • Prepare a Costs Estimate report documenting all the cost estimates prepared.
  • Provide input into the scope of work for the next project phase.
  • Participate in multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews and provide all necessary cost estimating input and support to close out actions.
  • Self-checking deliverables prior to issue.

Services should be provided, within the agreed schedule, to produce the following deliverables. Where required as part of project specific works, specific clients and durations will be called off as part of the purchase order.

Key deliverables to include:
  • Preparing project cost estimates as required, AACEI Class 5 to 3, taking into account the project contracting strategy and execution schedule.
  • Preparing OPEX, ABEX and Economic analysis.
  • Preparing both estimate basis and report documents as well as presentations.
  • Active participation in workshops and client presentations.
  • Analysing data and benchmarking cost estimates, taking into account regional and market influences.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures. Comply with other accredited frameworks such as ISO 14001.
  • Interfacing with Company and Project Managers.
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies and deviations from the original proposal/contract.
  • Interfacing with other disciplines as necessary to ensure representative cost estimates.
