Reporting to and supported by the Creative & Digital Delivery Director, the Performance Media Director is responsible for leading the Performance Media Managers and Executives through example. The role of the Performance Media Director is to oversee campaign performance, planning and optimisation of the Media Team and ensure best practice is followed whilst still being responsible for some more intricate campaigns and setups.

Responsibilities

Activities / Accountabilities

Manage a team of Paid Media Specialists
Hands on directing of complex performance media campaigns
Ensure all campaigns have consistent setup and follow internal as well as industry acceptable guidelines and best practice
Ability to report adequately to clients, internal teams and demonstrate campaign performance and achievement
Above average knowledge and ability across biddable/programmatic platforms, not limited to but including; Google, Bing, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn and DV360 (Google Ad Suite)
Media planning and proposal creation
Working with European Operations to ensure that the right Paid Media specialists are working on each job/campaign
Liaising with the Performance Media team in the USA to ensure:
Training of all European Paid Media specialists is arranged when needed
All learnings from global client campaigns are shared
Programmatic platform is continually improved with input and perspective from the UK and European markets

Qualifications

Competencies & Requirements

Essential

Responsibility for strategic planning for clients, based in the UK and Europe
Programmatic media buying with a record of increasing responsibilities
Experience in working with job boards, programmatic job platforms, ad exchanges, aggregators, ad servers, and/or other optimization platforms
Ability to analyse results, and working closely with Analytics (Metrics) team to understand campaign performance
Client Service skills (brief taking, presentation, strategic thinking etc.)
Budget and time management skills
Direct and indirect line management experience
Previous experience and enthusiasm for programmatic advertising

Google Ads Display Certification
Google Ads Search Certification
Google Search Ads 360 Certification
Google Display & Video 360 Certification
Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and manipulation of data sets
Experience of working with multi-location teams
