We have some fantastic opportunities to join us as Passenger Service Agent - Customer Helpers at Birmingham Airport on either a Permanent or Fixed Term Contract. Our Permanent Contracts offer successful candidates a permanent contract with a short break in between our busy Winter & Summer seasons! . Our Passenger Service Agent - Customer Helper positions are available on either a 30 hour or 20 hour per week basis.
Reporting to theCustomer Helper Supervisor Teams, our Passenger Service Agent - Customer Helpers provide a warm and friendly welcome and ensure all Jet2.com and Jet2holidays customers get their holiday off to a great start! Key responsibilities include -
- Welcoming our customers as they arrive at the airport and helping them with any queries.
- Assisting our customers at our check-in desks and self-service check in kiosks, issuing boarding passes and following safety and security procedures.
- Assisting at the boarding gates and working with our Jet2.com colleagues to make sure our flights depart on time.
- Supporting our customers throughout their journey through the airport
- Greeting our customers as they arrive back at the airport from their holiday.
- Ensuring the delivery of an effective and friendly service that meets the needs of our customers and promotes our brand values.
As we are always on hand to help our customers, this position involves working on a rostered shift basis and requires flexibility to support our flight programme. Shifts can start as early as 3:00am to cover our 24/7 operation and will include working weekends and bank holidays; your roster will be issued at least 4 weeks in advance This is an exciting and rewarding role with a real focus on delivering fantastic customer service!
Successful candidates will already be demonstrating Role Model behaviours. With a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service, you will be a strong team player and have a positive and flexible approach. You will also be required to have excellent communication skills (English - written and verbal), provide a full 5 year employment/education and address history, satisfactory criminal record checks and a valid photo ID.

This success has been repeated at Birmingham Airport, where in our first year we operated more than 4,700 flights, flying over 800,000 passengers. For the financial year ending 31 March 2019, we have launched 13 new routes, flying to 39 fantastic leisure destinations with a fleet of nine based aircraft, as customers across the West Midlands enjoy and respond positively to our award-winning flights and Real Package Holidays.
This investment in aircraft and people means we now employ over 1,000 pilots and cabin crew, engineers and ground operations colleagues across both bases.
Our market leading Resort Flight Check-In service, which allows customers to check-in their bags for their return flight with our specialist team, at their hotel and enjoy a hassle and bag free final day in resort, is extremely attractive. Customers continue to tell us how much they love the service. Therefore, we have expanded the service to over 250 hotels in 9 key holiday destinations - Alicante, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Larnaca, Majorca, Malaga,Paphos and Tenerife.
In June 2017, we launched Jet2Villas, our new ATOL protected Jet2.com flight + car + villa package, offering customers the freedom of a villa holiday with all the advantages of a package holiday - and all for just a £60 per person deposit! The convenience of a villa holiday, coupled with these package holiday benefits, means that Jet2Villas is already proving extremely popular with our customers. As a result, we have over 1,600 villas in more than 30 European beach destinations.
Jet2CityBreaks also continues to be a popular choice amongst customers with options for shorter breaks in over 25 fantastic cities.

In 2014, the £9.5 million purpose built training centre was opened. This fantastic facility now houses five full flight Simulators - the B757-200, B737-300 and three B737-800s. The simulators provide unrivalled quality training for pilots, while the Cabin Safety and Emergency Procedure Centre offers the perfect learning environment for Cabin Crew too. More recently, we have added Engineering Training facilities to the Centre, for high quality and relevant training for engineering colleagues.
