About the team:

Based across Fragomen’s London and Sheffield offices, the EMEA Office of General Counsel is one of the corporate teams supporting the firm’s core business.  The team assists with a wide range of transactional, company secretarial and advisory legal work across EMEA, including: tenders; commercial contracts (clients and suppliers); employment; property; professional regulation; compliance ; sanctions; and litigation. As part of the team, you will work with OGC and non-OGC colleagues around the world as well as with local advisors supporting Fragomen in various locations

About the role:
Reporting to the Associate General Counsel - EMEA, the Paralegal will be responsible for:

• Managing the OGC’s Third Party Vendor (“TPV”) Due Diligence process, which involves overseeing the onboarding of entities providing immigration-related services in countries where Fragomen does not have an office.
• This involves collaborating with colleagues responsible for the vendor relationship to decide what type of due diligence the TPV should be subject to, reviewing the TPV’s documents and working with the AGCs on deciding whether to approve the TPV as a Fragomen service provider. This further involves following up on TPV recertification annually and being the point of contact for any TPV due diligence-related questions during the course of the relationship.
• More general assistance to other members of OGC as required, such as research, drafting and administrative duties, including document filing and minute taking.

About you:

You will have experience in a legal or professional services environment with a Paralegal, Compliance or Administrative type role.

You will also have a passion to develop a career within an in-house legal function.

Our London office has over 230 people working collaboratively and creating a dynamic, positive environment.

The office itself is based in the heart of the City, located within a short walk of numerous tube stations. As the UK starts to move out of lockdown and Fragomen moves out of a fully working from home model, a willingness to attend the office will be required. The firm is however transitioning towards a flexible working approach, that incorporates in-person attendance with remote working – our aim being to fully leverage our remote working technology and provide a balance for our people in the way that they work.
