Context/purpose for the role:

The role holder will be responsible for maintaining our portfolio of clients who utilise the ViaNabo benefits platform (and successor platforms), and supporting the growth of this portfolio through the sale and promotion of the platform to new clients, the onboarding of new clients, and the development of platform design and functionality. You will be expected to use your knowledge and skills to improve the customer experience for users of the platform, support consultants in the sale and promotion of the platform, and increase the commercial value of the platform to support the targets and objectives of Towergate Health & Protection. You will need to be ready to assist with the strategic development of the platform and other online/digital initiatives designed to support the businesses growth agenda.

The role holder will also be required to support the marketing team with the delivery of a broad range of marketing outputs, as necessary for a small team supporting a business that operates in a wide range of markets through multiple distribution channels.

Key role accountabilities:

  • Support the E-Business Manager with our benefits platform, including but not limited to: all testing, set up of client data and designs, ongoing improvements and updates, training of users, management of all users and creation of system email templates
  • Work closely with the E-Business Manager to deliver improvements and developments to our benefits platform, with a focus on improving design, usability and conversion of new client opportunities
  • Assist with the group’s wider online presence: customer facing websites and internal support sites, including responsibility for page creation and site management as required
  • Maintain materials stored on in-house online sales communication portals as well as issuing regular communications to staff and customers when required
  • Liaise with internal IT and compliance to ensure that all online developments are compliant with the required standard
  • Manage the creation of new HTML email templates and work closely with our Copywriter and Sheffield lead generation office on production of engaging email promotion to our prospect and client database
  • Source and extract targeted contact lists from CRM for email campaigns
  • Produce regular reports on our external email marketing, using both Constant Contact and Google Analytics, and use this data to suggest ways to improve our results
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring clear communication of objectives and deliverables in line with the company’s strategic direction
  • Support the marketing team as and when required, including contributing to the production of the presentation slides for our annual sales conference, as required
  • Develop an understanding of the products we sell
  • Attend relevant training to ensure market knowledge levels are kept up to date
  • The marketing team is small, with fast moving workloads, so general support for the wider team will be required to help manage busy periods

Qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years of digital/e-business experience
  • Knowledge of best practice: SEO, PPC, E-marketing, Social media, Web analytics, Web security, Web development and CMS
  • Solid working knowledge of website launches and improvements
  • Experience with Umbraco and Perch is preferential but not essential
  • Experience in management of website launches and improvements
  • Knowledge and understanding of the PEN testing process
  • Web development in HTML, CSS would be beneficial but not essential
  • Passion for digital marketing with up to date knowledge of the digital landscape
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Microsoft Office and Adobe design suite

Experience within financial services and regulated environment beneficial but not essential
