Merchandise Sale Associate

We are currently recruiting for the position of Merchandise Host/Hostess for Disney Cruise Line.

Responsibilities:

Support onboard retail locations and proactively sell ship/island merchandise in fixed and mobile retail locations; product focus could include but is not limited to DCL specialty and luxury merchandise products, onboard art program, duty free products, liquor, perfumes and jewelry.  Create magical shopping experiences for our Guests.

Consistently meets or exceeds established performance metrics associated with the location.  Fully supports and aligns with all key business initiatives and new product launches.  Maintains security standards within the store to ensure safety of Guests, Crew Members and to protect our company assets through appropriate care and handling of merchandise.  Maintains daily cleanliness and organization of shop floor, display tables and windows, and stockrooms while following visual presentation standards.  Maintain fully stocked shelves in merchandise locations; restock when needed.  Performs accurate inventory counts.  Receives, logs, and unloads all merchandise that boards the vessel in preparation for each cruise.  Operates Point of Sale systems.  Supports daily promotions such as purchase with purchase and special events and themed activities.  Assists with price adjustments, floor moves, and receiving merchandise stock.  Comply with set policies and procedures as well as all maritime and ship rules, regulations, and procedures.  Conduct emergency duties as specified in the Ship's Assembly Stations and Emergency Functions Plan.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum two years recent experience in retail or sales
• Experience and knowledge in fine and costume jewelry, watches, perfume and liquor strongly desired
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Interest and ability to create a “wow” guest experience
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the Disney product, characters and story telling
• Knowledge in duty free and VAT strongly desired
• Experience and knowledge of managing inventory
• Experience and knowledge of art desired
• Experience in a cashless sales system strongly desired
• Knowledge of latest trends and styles and retail as a whole
• Strong understanding of sales in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Ability to demonstrate a passion and strong, ongoing focus towards exceeding Guest satisfaction and sales goals in order to exceed incentive targets which impacts the individual, team and overall
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
