IT Apprentice

Employer description:

Established in 1995, our client has a team of dedicated professionals with over 21 years’ experience in providing telephone, online and on-site support for IT maintenance and repairs to new and existing clients.

Job overview / purpose:

During the apprenticeship, you will be working within a small team in a relaxed but professional, warm and friendly working environment. You’ll also be working in a team of 15 talented IT network engineers, while being mentored and supported by the IT manager. 

Starting on a 13-15 month Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship, the role will involve the following:

Main responsibilities:

• Providing 1st line helpdesk support to clients
• General IT support maintenance including updates for internal and customers servers
• Managing networks and connections for internal and customers servers
• Configuring switch ports (Routing and Switching)
• Communicating by telephone and email in a professional manner
• VOIP/Telephony problem solves

Desired qualifications:

• Interested candidates should have at least 5 GCSE's at grade C or above,
• Including Maths and English at D or above. 

Working week:

9am – 5:30pm, 5 days per week,

37.5 hours per week [average week, will be confirmed with the employer upon interview]

Salary:

£10,000 per annum.
