Role summary/purpose of job

Working with the Global Billing Standards Manager the role will involve:

• Maintains training materials (including quick reference guides) reviewing regularly using version control procedures

• Trains fee earners, assistants and local billing teams on using billing systems (for example, the fee earner portal)

• Maintains the library of global and local billing procedures

• Creates training documentation to support system changes (such as the fee earner portal) and distributes updates to relevant teams/individuals.

• Through effective relationships with local offices, provides feedback from local offices on how the portal and 3E are being used and any possible issues

• Provides advice and support to local billing teams on how to use the billing workflow manager and related processes

• Influences partners and fee earners to adopt best practice behaviours with regards to time recording and billing management.

Key responsibilities and deliverables 

• To create training documentation in relation to using the billing system and fee earner portal and distribute this to relevant teams/individuals.

• To train fee earners, assistants and local billing teams on using the billing system and fee earner portal.

• To provide support to local billing teams on how the billing workflow manager and related processes are used.

• To provide feedback from local offices on how the portal and 3E are being used and any possible issues.

• To input in to discussions about possible 3E implementations and identify any issues.

• To promote best practice behaviours for time recording and billing management when interacting with partners, fee earners, EAs and local billing teams.

• Support efforts to continuously improve billing processes and performance

Key requirements

Essential

• Experience working with large, multidisciplinary organisations involving internal and external resources across multiple locations

• Experience in defining and developing training and knowledge materials for large change projects/ programmes

• Ability to work in a challenging and time pressured environment with senior business stakeholders

• Can build strong relationships quickly and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders

• Educated to degree level and/ or relevant professional qualifications

• Travel may be required to some global offices

• IT literate, fluent in MS Office

• Experience working with 3E or similar financial systems

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong organisational skills

Desirable

• Able to speak other languages – German, Spanish, French or Italian preferential
