About the role of German Business Development Manager

Reporting into the Sales Director the primary purpose of the German Business Development Manager is to create, nurture and close revenue generating opportunities with new prospects / brands within e commerce across Germany and the DACH region. You will have plenty of autonomy to go after whoever you want and as a Business Development Manager you will be expected to win and expand local, regional and global brands targeting senior level decision makers within Marketing / Communications for example Marketing Director, Head Communications, Head of Customer Engagement etc.


Part of the role will involve attending face to face sales meetings or web sales demonstrations with new prospects / clients for sales presentations and therefore this role would suit a sales individual who enjoys getting out and closing business face to face as well as online!

About You

  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets with evidence of success (P45, Commission slips etc)
  • Experience of selling over the phone and face to face
  • Native level German speaker with experience of selling to Companies in Germany
  • Experience of selling an online marketing solution or SAAS solution would be ideal
  • Experience of selling into Marketing or Communications departments is preferred
  • Experience of Salesforce or another leading CRM platform
  • Degree educated
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Must be prepared to travel locally and internationally
