The Geosciences team within RSK Group is one of the UK’s largest geotechnical and contaminated land consultancies with ambitious plans for growth. In addition, it can call on further related resources through ownership of Structural Soils Ltd, Ian Farmer Associates, Central Alliance and CJ Associates to provide market leading site investigation and drilling contracting company.
RSK is currently recruiting for Geotechnical Engineers/Engineering Geologists to join our well-established and experienced geotechnical consultancy team in our Hemel Hempstead office. We are specifically looking for candidates that have a minimum of at least two to three year’s relevant experience in the planning and supervision of ground investigations.
The geotechnical consultancy team provides consultancy and design services to the rest of the RSK Group, as well as servicing a range of external clients. Our current workload includes anything from major infrastructure projects for downstream oil and gas clients to housing developments for UK national house builders.
Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist
The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with geotechnical projects across the UK as directed by the Team Leader or other project staff. All Project work must be carried out with due diligence, adhered to by the RSK procedures & completed within the given cost budgets and time scales agreed. Good communication is required to inform/liaise with other project staff and sometimes the client periodically with updates & any issues raised. More specifically you will be:
This particular role is an excellent opportunity to work with a wide range of public and private sector clients on some key and major projects offering the opportunity for you to gain broad consultancy experience at an early stage of your career. The role will involve a mix of site-based supervision of geotechnical investigations and / or earthworks supervision but will also include some office-based time for analysis and reporting elements of projects. (Office based time may be remote / home based in line with government guidance during the Covid-19 pandemic).
