Band 6, Salary £32,306 to £34,172

About us

The Fylde Coast CCGs have been at the forefront of national innovations since their creation over six years ago. Early pioneers of many ideas and services that have gone on to shape national policy, both Blackpool and Fylde and Wyre CCGs have been involved in several national pilots to develop new ways of working and embracing new technologies.

This is an interesting time for the Fylde coast digital intelligence team, as we are now working across a wider Lancashire footprint supporting a multi-organisational response to the current pandemic. The team has organically expanded through our innovative and pioneering developments, delivering intelligence through sustainable open source technologies. This along with our ambitious plans to deliver real-time data and predictive analysis, has put us at the forefront in supporting integrated health and care across the area.

The Team

We are therefore further expanding our digital intelligence team to support the development and delivery of our interactive data driven intelligence, seeking a proactive, talented developer to join the team.

The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to apply their wide-ranging knowledge and skills to the many and varied challenges that the team encounters. They should have proven technical ability, problem solving skills, be a creative logical thinker, able to propose and deliver efficient and effective solutions to meet user needs.

The Role (Full details can be found on the attached JD)

The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate practical expertise in technical areas such as:

  • Established developer role using a modern technology stack
  • Experience of developing web applications with Javascript
  • Familiarity with Angular and NodeJS
  • Knowledge of both Relational and Non-Relational Databases
  • Development of APIs (preferably RESTful using ExpressJS)
  • Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
  • Knowledge of Git version control system
