Financial Reporting Analyst - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

From the outset, you will be contributing to the output of your team, taking responsibility and working with leading professionals.

The Role:

We have an opportunity for a trainee to join our Fund Accounting Team. The team are responsible for providing financial reporting services for UK and Luxembourg based clients to support statutory and financial statement production for UK Open Ended Investment Companies, Unit Trusts and UK administered SICAVrsquo;s (a publicly-traded open-end investment fund structure).

You will be responsible for providing direct support to all aspects of the financial reporting end to end process and input into the key strategic financial reporting project. You will be trained on existing core deliverables in order to maintain service levels during this time of significant change.

During this traineeship you will gain a detailed understanding of the financial reporting operating model and service offered to clients which are subject to external audit, along with exposure to the fund accounting environment with its upstream impact on financial reporting statement production including extensive product types and open ended investment funds. You will also learn about outsourcing with the operating model changing by participation in projects and an agile project management approach.

Candidate Profile:

The candidate must have strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, a highly organised approach to work and effective time management skills are all essential. Flexibility to adapt to changing demands is key as well as an ability to work well in a team. You will need to be confident using Excel.

Recruitment Process:

Applications will be reviewed and short listed candidates will be contacted for a telephone interview initially. Interviews will take place in October/November with an anticipated start date of December 2020.
