Finance Operations Manager

Location: North Chailey (Hybrid/Onsite)

Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

The Role

They’re looking for a Finance Operations Manager to lead their day-to-day financial operation. You'll oversee their accounts payable and receivable processes, cash flow, VAT, reconciliations, and team leadership — ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and strong financial control across the board.

•Leading and developing a small, dedicated team across AP and AR functions
•Managing payment cycles, credit control, supplier relationships, and internal queries
•Overseeing reconciliations, VAT returns, fixed assets, and financial controls
•Monitoring cash flow and producing forecasts for strategic planning
•Supporting audits and ensuring their systems and policies remain robust
•Driving improvements and streamlining processes through technology and automation
•Collaborating with colleagues to strengthen insight, efficiency, and delivery

Skills and Qualifications

•A relevant finance qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) or working towards one
•Experience leading finance operations within a medium-sized organisation
•Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, cash flow, and VAT
•Skilled in managing people, systems, and process change
•Confident communicator, able to explain financial data to non-finance audiences
•A collaborative and solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
•Familiarity with Sage, Access, or similar finance systems (desirable)
