We are now seeking a Site Supervisor with an electrical bias to take responsibility for four healthcare sites in Medway, Kent. As Site Supervisor you will take responsibility for four healthcare sites (Lordswood, Rainham, Rochester and Balmorral Gardens) in Medway, Kent. These sites include GP Surgeries, dental surgeries and healthy living centres. You will be responsible for co-ordinating site based activities with our contact centre team making sure all maintenance/repair jobs are reported and assigned to our in-house team of multi skilled engineers correctly ensuring that we deliver a quality maintenance service to our NHS client. The team of maintenance engineers you'll manage provide planned and reactive maintenance repairs (including out of hours call-out cover) to the buildings fabric, M&E plant, equipment and alarm systems.

You'll still also remain very much hands-on as an electrician, performing daily maintenance duties as part of our PPM (planned and preventative maintenance) and reactive maintenance programme and works might involve emergency light testing, replacing sockets, fault finding and isolation/make safe.

In addition to day to day maintenance duties, the preferred candidate will act as focal point for external Sub-Contractors organising and arranging planned maintenance visits where necessary. You'll ensure health and safety compliance, maintain site documentation and make sure records are up to date for audits. You'll also assist in client inspections and carry out inspections to ensure works are carried out satisfactorily, within time scales and the site is left clean and safe.

Normal working hours are 8am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. You'll be mobile across our four sites so we'll provide you with a company van and fuel card. You'll also participate in an on-call rota system (which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs).

This is a varied role which combines supervisory and maintenance duties with excellent opportunity for personal growth and development within our growing NHS Maintenance business.

The successful candidate will be a qualified electrician and will hold 18th edition, 2391 or 2394/2395 inspection and Testing and electrical installations. Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings is essential, ideally within the NHS (or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS) however candidates with good commercial experience (schools, hotels, supermarkets etc) that can be translated to the NHS will be considered. 

You should be familiar and competent in managing and maintaining statutory compliance. You will have a good technical knowledge of building services maintenance and of Health & Safety procedures in daily site operation.

Above all, you will have a keen customer service approach, strong interpersonal skills and good IT skills (Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Outlook and Excel).
